Impressive collection. I have 30 odd good condition Autocar mags from the 90s if you are interested. They have been boxed in my garage for years and I didn’t want to throw them away.
Thanks - no, I'm fine: I have a complete run of Autocar back to October 1964, so it's ones earlier than that I'm looking for. It’s just dawned on me that since I started this thread I’ve moved house - with my collection of stuff being moved after the ‘domestic’ stuff.
If anyone’s interested, you can enjoy/endure a virtual tour with this terrible POV video walkaround: https://youtu.be/-O6J97KHuJ4

Insanely envious of your collection!
From being about 13 In the mid 90s when car manufacturers were putting time and effort into their websites I used to request brochures all the time, much to the annoyance of my parents! If a website offered brochures, I'd request them. So much so when I bought my first car when I was 19 in 2004 I had the exact brochure that it featured in when it was new, so I knew exactly what extras it had and how much they'd have cost.
I also had 12 months worth of Top Gear magazines from around 1995, as well as every What Car? magazine between 1998 and 2003.
Unfortunately whilst they were all boxed up in storage during a house move they all went missing along with a few other boxes.
Properly gutted.

My old man has Autocar from (I believe) 1919 to date in bound volumes in his study, and has compiled indices to them all too.
They sound utterly fabulous. I’m still trying to compile a post-WWII run of Autocar (and Motor), but I’d struggle to resist an archive such as that should one become available. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
