Just after the 700 series Volvo towards the end goes by a couple of fighter planes fly past. Is the one that isn't a Spitfire a Hurricane? Or a Mustang?
Spitfire and Hurricane I think.Back to the clip - yes, the old bat was in the wrong, but it was probably a genuine mistake. There was bags of room for two cars to pass. Why didn't the fat blob in the Motability Vauxhall move over rather than getting out to film? It would have been over in seconds rather than making a giant scene out of a minor issue.

Yawn. Plenty of room for two cars to pass. I bet there weren't any no entry signs either, making the painted arrow purely advisory. My auntie was driving the wrong way in a car park a few years ago and someone reversed into her. They weren't looking but tried to argue that it was my aunties fault for driving the wrong way. I think they went 50:50 in the end.

ive done this, the old guy i encounted was wanting me to back up, about 15 metres, making it difficult for me to pass him, there was room, i just drove round him, he got very upset, it was quite funny really how some people overreact to trivial matters.there is a mentality to punish anyone who dares to make a mistake, it is quite sad really as it was just a non event, no kids injured, life goes on.
At my local Aldi, the council have seen fit to make 1 meter of carpark a one way, meaning you have to drive all the way around the town centre one way system to get into the car parks main entrance, it's really stupid and serves no purpose other than perhaps stopping people using the car park as a short cut on busy weekends, but in truth it just creates more congestion by forcing more traffic into the town centre and it's multitude of traffic lights and roundabouts. Lots of people including myself just drive over the arrow.
Someone did try to have a go at me about it, and I just said "well the arrow is wrong, and that's not my problem".

Watch they don't put a camera on that, it sounds like one of these Council Ker-Ching zones in the making.Someone did try to have a go at me about it, and I just said "well the arrow is wrong, and that's not my problem".

Not retired yet then
I'll be working until I die - I'm kind of hoping this is just a test run. Then there's the missing testicle, detached whilst moving DFS furniture which has left me with privates which resemble a small exclamation mark!So yeah, enjoy retirement but understand double posting isn't my biggest concern.

(if the video in the news article doesn't work, below is a slightly longer version I found on YouTube)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQFT86Swigo
Nothing much happens in the video. Other than the DCW being an utter tool. Speeding towards clearly iffy junctions or over roundabouts.
There's an episode with a stationary bus where oncoming traffic is pulling onto his side of the road to pass it. So what does he do? Carries on towards the traffic squeezing the gap so they can barely pass.
Must admit, I couldn't resist popping along to twitter and leaving a complimentary comment on the tweet of the article.

What happens when there's a big game at Wembley or Twickenham? When City or United are at home Manchester grinds to halt. Today city centre workers were advised to work at home by the police because of the chaos that would ensue round this evenings game. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/great... These things are a regular occurrence, not just once a year.
Don't know about Wembley, but the Twickenham matches are just down the road and are seriously well organised, they are no bother at all. The only time they cause slight delay is if you get unlucky and go past in the 30 minute window while the place is emptying afterwards, and you might get 15 mins delay. Which to be honest is mostly caused by other motorists ignoring the signage, police and cones and stopping to pick people up on the roundabouts, but they get massively fined afterwards so they'll learn eventually. It's not really comparable, as I say even the biggest Twickenham events only slow down the Chertsey Road for a 30 minute window and you can easily avoid it, the annual cycle race that we were originally told was a one-off event, trashes vast tracts of West London and Surrey for an entire day including all public transport options (except the train, if you're lucky enough to be able to walk to it, but they're on a Sunday service on that day which is fairly useless).
The better local example to Twickers is Hampton Court flower show - they erect that big pedestrian bridge so people can get from the parking to the show without using the zebra crossings, and impact there is reduced to just the queues into the carpark. Not ideal but better. Twickenham Stadium's owners should pay for a big pedestrian bridge over or a tunnel under the A316.
