I presume it was the ESP that saved the Audi at 2:57, rather than his 'driving skills' (in fact, what happened anyway?)

Looks like he aquaplaned and it regained grip on one side first so pulled the car to one side. The fact that he was about 3 turns into recovering it before he even put both hands on the wheel doesn't say much for his "skills". hehe

.
Following distance (1/4 of a second) at 50 mph :

Please note:
  1. There is a car in front of me, going slower than I wish to travel
  2. It (and therefore I) am overtaking traffic in Lane 1
  3. I moved over at the earliest opportunity (i.e. within 15 seconds) and let this woman past in order that she could then harass the car I had been following.
  4. Once she had bullied her way past that, she disappeared into the distance at a rate of knots (and I do not hang about!)
  5. I have not edited and uploaded the video, not because it shows me in a poor light, but because I CBA to put the effort into showing some 60 seconds of non-event.
  6. The number plate has been covered as this happened locally and her husband may be a PH PBCD and bigger than me.
I believe that covers any possible PH criticism of my driving? (I wish!). rolleyes

illegal on double whites, but the road was clear, good visibility actual overtake looked ok. Truck was only doing 35mph.
More a question of why there are double whites.

The double whites shouldn't be necessary there as visibility is good. That bridge has been hit a few times (the fairly tight S bends catch people out) so I'd imagine they put extra lines in to try to make people drive less carelessly.

I am thinking elevation, mist during winter months maybe, and maybe some tards doing the same overtake from behind a truck and not being aware of the sharp bend.

I don't know the road and take your word for it. But if you are the sort of idiot who would overtake blind from behind a truck in mist then not sure white lines will stop you!

I was guessing, don't know the road either, but we are surrounded by idiots.

I don't normally bother uploading but I thought the Jag one was worth it. The second is just random confusion from multiple drivers and I just wanted you to let me know where I'm going wrong as a DCW.
