I bet that lorry does the route daily. You get these drivers who will never overtake he probably had enough not right and could be dangerous.

White BMW incident, interestingly we don't see run up to it.
Just shows theres some proper mental people out there. I think thats the point you reverse, drive at them and take the drivers door off biggrin

Overtake at 1.00 is excellent!
Yep, sees a gap and trucks on by and all we're left with is the sound of the dashcammer furtively pressing his save button over and over and over again to record this non-event.
All very well until a car in the queu pulls out as well causing the truck to slow, and if another vehicle did come the other way, trucker would have no clear road to pull, back in again.

Of course, that would be entirely the fault of the person who pulled out in front of the over taking truck.

That's utterly ridiculous, both need reporting to the police asap.

Yep, nearly understeered into the DCW. Very stupid and dangerous on wet roads

well done mr truck driver, it's good to see.

All the other fuds probably tailgaiting a slow moving vehicle for mile after mile, nobody got the skill to overtake and preventing anybody else from overtaking.
DCW furiously bashing the button on their camera.

Just get on with driving rather than trying to film everybody else

The truck starts to indicate at 0:04, when the scooter is still well behind.

Is it good practice to overtake a line of vehicles in one manoeuvre?

Either way he got a good result, this time.

My record is 7 in one go. biggrin

If you watch the video, you can see there is nothing coming in the distance. The higher viewpoint of the cab will mean he can see more too.

Few other vehicles in front capable of an overtake due to trailer towing. Perfectly executed IMO.

I love the roads where you can safely overtake around bends. It can induce incredulity in some, however!
DCW: "oh, it's around a corner, innit, must be stupid dangerous"
Tanker driver: "I can see for miles that there's nothing coming"

Great work by the bulker driver on Axe Edge. He must have been empty to go the way he did (I'd guess picking up cement powder from the Peak quarries near Buxton so on his return he'll be crawling at 10 - 15mph back up the other way).

When we used to be able to take HGVs over the Cat and Fiddle (so long ago last time I drove it it was still a crash box rather than the auto boxes most lorries have nowadays) there was a bend where coming from Macc, in a lorry cab you could see about a mile of road surface ahead....those in the cars could see about 200 yrds. My record was eight.....two cars, a Norton (?), the single decker service bus, three more cars and then the ubiquitious landy with sheep trailer. * However, I did stay on the horn throughout so peeps were aware of what was going on as at the apex of then bend, the landy and the cars now on the outside were going faster than me and I lost a couple of "grid places".

  • Here is the other internet sheep related (not car related) activity that goes on around there about a mile up from the loop bend on the A537........NSFW
