Also possible with a curve in the other direction. I was sat behind a BMW that was closely sat behind a slow lorry uphill. I held back and could see through the inside that the road ahead was clear on the left hand uphill curve. So indicated, stepped out to re-check for anything appearing out of side junctions, and then went. A sweet overtake in wife’s Fabia.

And I bet BMW person said, Look at that idiot...……..doesn't know what they're doing. Good for you I hate sitting behind several cars, (following a slow truck etc), and none overtake when they can.

HGV Dashcam are usually pretty good.

All down to the van driver, nobody else, he's tailgating and slow to react, 'I can see over the top of you so its ok to tailgate.'
