I'm not turning it into a bike vs car argument, I was trying to make the point that being in a car offers significantly more armour and protection than wearing a jacket and a helmet.
But people have to get out of their car to get in somebody's face - that's kinda the point. They can rant and rave all they like behind the wheel - but to actually get up close and personal with somebody, they have to exit that 'armour and protection'. A biker doesn't.

And no, I won't agree with your statement because I don't believe it's true.
You don't believe that the protection afforded by a bike helmet and body armour in anyway influences behaviour like this video below (punching car windows and door mirrors in, headbutting people?). Do you really believe they would have gone to these extremes had they not been wearing that much protection?

And past a copper as well. Though probably no one in the car.

But that is Glossop and the surrounding area for you, a strange place. Have you ever noticed how the doorframes to the houses are lower than anywhere else - it is because they are stunted inbreds. Mate owns about six rentals on that road in the clip and they are all bought off the same familiy! Think about it, when did you last ever heard anyone saying the were actually moving to Glossop. Mind you, bonfire night 1993, I ended up there with a lass called Sasha and blimey, I saw things that night that really opened my mind and eyes and whilst incredibly pleasurable are not something I've ever wished to repeat in life, the memory is enough. (No she wasn't a ladyboy, the experience 'similar' to that took place in Salford in 1996). [I'm starting to sound a bit Alan Partridge am I not].

What really did confuse me that if you wanted either the Snake or Woodhead Passes from the Mancs direction, turn right at the end of the M67 and follow a couple of back rouds around, OK, 5 minutes on 30mph non resi streets but you got through the town quicker than on the main road and missed all the tomfoolery on that bit of ?

I may soon appear on here!!

M25 clockwise on thr northern secrion, mostly 4 lane ,but as always there is the private lane on the inside, which regularly use.
As an aside, does any else on here feel a little bit uneasy when the road is clear and they are not making progress in the inside lane?

Anyway traffic on the three original lanes was the normal bunching and 60in L2 to 75 in L4

As i had been in L1 enjoying the view for the last 3-miles on CC at 70 i just cruised passed a guy in ( i think a Renault people carrier) who along with all the other lemming was in L2 at rather less than the NSL

As i looked back i saw the passenger, waving about like a tic tac man on speed, went past the chap 200yds or so in front of him in L2 and after about a minute or so of clear L1 caught a HGV and passed him then back into L1 Suddenlt REnault man went past me in L2 and stayed in it ( i was fully expecting a cut in and brake teat, but didnt bother making eye contact with hte passenger, didnt notice if there was a dascam, but the antics did lead me to think there was

Then on the notorious Twin Bridges roundabout in Bracknell

https://earth.google.com/web/@51.41354099,-0.76080...

I was coming up from Mill Lane at bottom of pic. Got in the RH lane to go across into the middle lane on the roundabout, to go under the bridge in order to turn right and go up Skimped Hill Road in top right Notice a woman driving a People carrier thingy in the middle lane and going into the LH lane which is marked to go under the bridge. Oh on decided she wants to go all the way around. Luckily i had a fweling so hung back a fraction as she sailed sedately across my bows.
Coming from the A329 (middle left, i have lost count of the number of side swipes when someone in the LH lane doesnt read the bloody markings an sails across into the lane fro the middle lane. They ought to have cameras there!

And MIll Lane limit has been dropped from 70 to 50 in order reduced accident . In the last month we habe had three ibcluding 1 fatality. I would like to see Brake explainn that.

Off to get a nice malt to calm down!!

So to summarize...

1. Passenger waves arms a bit on motorway, nothing actually happens.

2. Someone not paying attention on roundabout which you anticipated, again nothing actually happened.

And this required a drink to calm down?

Honestly I've had more drama than this visiting the toilet after a mild curry, I presume you don't get on the road that much otherwise you'd have a serious drink problem!

No, I think a thug is a thug and they'll use whatever tools they have at their disposal. I don't believe wearing a helmet and armour makes them think they're Iron Man.

This... Anyone believing that a helmet offers protection against a person clearly wasn't paying attention when their science teacher explained "concussive force".

A HANS device might help as it's meant to immobilise the neck, but chances are if Mo'ammed I AM 'ARD Bruce Li decided to hit you whilst wearing one you'd just lose balance anyway.

Besides... there are plenty of ways of taking someone down without even going for the head. The best leathers won't help your joints bend in a way they're not meant to.

Love the clip at 0:59 where the guy at the head of the queue causing all the impatience in the following vehicles just carries on, seemingly oblivious to the carnage going on behind him.

Isn't if funny that st comes out of both ends of your alimentary canal

First it was the normal reactions we get on here, and commented upon, of the average DCW, as you said, nothing happened

Second IF a dashcam had been fitted it was just a ilttle bit more 'what a cock' moment than we normally get, BUT would have been a good bit of evidence of DCA IF i wasn't anticipating it

Perhaps i should have said that this was Sat AM, so No, the drink to calm down was for something entirely different, so dont go assuming things

Great video.

I liked 3:26 when the slowest crash ever causes one car to mount the other.
And 7:15 when the "no overtaking" sign slowly rolls across the road biggrin

rofl at no overtaking sign.

That video lead to this one, the first clips we've seen before, it is long (Russian?) chase of vehicle transporter, so jump to 6:40 for fresh material

Delta taxi man giving a very "proportional" response to an angry biker who smacked his mirror.
That's brilliant - biker got exactly what he deserved!
Muppet.
That clip is almost as good as the biker who tried brake checking someone and paid the price in the most 'what could possibly go wrong' video ever.
