'Aggressively boot it, then cut up somebody else..'?

I think we must be watching different clips.
Rewatched it. Take your point re the cutting up. But still don't think he needed to switch lanes and accelerate - not a great idea on a roundabout.

I think it's just 'cause it's a BMW - bit of gratification for the hand-wringers. The real issue in that clip is the silver car approaching the roundabout from the turn-left lane and then moving into the middle lane, thus forcing the BMW from the middle lane to the right lane.
Checks MitchT garage.......

I'll consider my hand wringing gratified by the plank in the junior management white BMW then, clearly yet another self entitled driver who could have just gone round the roundabout again in the lane he was in and then no doubt caught and passed the nasty dangerous silver car driver at max speed on the dual whilst intimidating us all with his skillz?
Yep he got cut up, which is hilarious irony, but his solution was the usual pathetic driving you would expect these days, BMW or not if I'm honest.
Still got a long way to go to reach Audi levels, any self respecting Audi driver would have cut the silver car back up, floored it to the left of the cam car and swerved across the front of the cam car from its left...........

You're either watching the wrong video (not sure the link is correct, TBF), or you're watching the right video but need to stay watching a bit longer.

Looks like the power cut out completely. Maybe it affected the power steering, too? That could potentially cause somebody to panic and end up skidding.
Looks like they hit something on the side of the road which put out the lights and ended with a loss of control

True enough, but perhaps his 15 minutes of fame will make him consider his actions in future.... smile

Isn't it about time that dash cams came with stickers warning owners not to accelerate towards other vehicles on roundabouts?

Quite a few of those clips weren't really incidents, and in some, the Road Cam owner was as much to blame. Drive like a lunatic down a country lane, and oh my, a Tractor !! Who'd ever expect that !!

There's no doubting the overtake on solid white lines was an absolute disaster, but at least part of the blame has got to fall upon the tit up the front doing 20 something MPH on what was inevitably a NSL road and the two tits behind not leaving space for more sensible overtakes to be completed.

Seems to have given all the overtaking vehicles rather a shock, they all slow down an awful lot.

The crash it causes is all over the news

Be interested to hear any followup about what they charge the driver with for that.

How didn't that thick realise they were going the wrong way? Hopefully they hit a massive lorry and killed themselves rather than anyone else. Sounds harsh but surely that's the best possible outcome...

From the ITV website you can see it's a Subaru Forrester. It would be better to be hit by a transverse four than a Boxer four?
