Anyone got any decent dash can suggestions?

I think it's a good thing to have own these days but I wouldn't want to spend a fortune.

Any good front and rear set ups?

I find Diet Coke works the best up front, but the rear parcel shelf is more deserving of a Fanta.

They both sound crap though - very tinny.

He does appear to lack the mind set to respond to hazards ahead of him, his lack of braking and continued use of the accelerator at times appears to indicate that because he's in a HGV he's happy to take on other road users perhaps for extra Youtube footage.

Although in the last two videos it look's like he's not initially at fault however, he could have used a bit more braking but then again he'd have no footage.... wink
Very much so, nearly all of his videos are him escalating things to punish minor mistakes or situations that require a little give and take. I picked out the worst, but he actually has a couple of dozen similar videos. It's a pity he cannot be identified and reported, he will hurt or kill someone eventually.
I'm astonished that he's (I assume) a commercial driver.
The first vid it really does look like he turned right from the left hand lane at that roundabout. As for the commercial driver comment, I had a bus driver pull this same st on me the other day. Roundabout with two entry lanes and 4 exits. Bus took the 3rd exit from the left lane and very nearly side swiped me had I not been paying attention (I was also taking the 3rd exit). He then had the cheek to give me the coffee beans out the window! I didn't even beep him for dash cam points (although I don't have a dash cam!).

I wish I knew the back story to this one,

The van driver looks very confused at the end.

I thought that sounded a brilliant price so checked some reviews and, whilst they're all positive, from every single video example I saw you could not read any numberplate. Now perhaps that is from youtube's compression and also the foreign numberplates are not as easy to discern as UK plates.

Will be interesting to hear you thoughts on that when you get it.

I'm not quite sure what he's driving in those clips, in the first I don't think it's a class 1 HGV judging by his positioning and from the height of the camera against the van, also in his other videos his lack of awareness and his speed as he approaches the "problems" would be ridiculous in a full loaded 44t.
The clip with the reversing van doesn't seem right either, if he was fully loaded and pulled a swerve like that I don't see how he can a: stop that quickly and b: not loose it completely as he drops his wheels off the road, whatever he is in, if it's tacho controlled, he is worthy of reporting to the police and the T.C.
He keeps making reference to 44t in the commments which is strange, maybe to try to deflect from the flack he's getting??
I think it's 7.5t or maybe a 12t rigid...........

Are you saying the deaf shouldn't drive ?
I bet the blind person has the senses to help accommodate against their disibility.

There is still a difference between someone trying to overcome their disibility and someone doing something which adds to their risk for no reason.
Yep this.

My MIL is blind - but she has learned to accommodate that over many years to the point that some people meeting her for the first time have difficulty telling, especially when she they see her pottering round her own home.

Would a sighted person with a blindfold on be as capable?

Temporarily removing a sense that you rely on every day is in no way analogous to a disabled person having lived with, and adjusted to a permanent disability over many years.

And in the same way just using headphones for eg an audiobook is in no way the same as using them at max volume for heavy metal, and may well leave you able to hear a lot more than people who just have the radio up loud. I've driven with headphones, and I could hear just as much of the outside world as with the radio on at normal volume. I've also (many many years ago) driven around with the radio on so loud that the door panels vibrated and not been able to hear a thing outside.

I wonder why the same instant vitriol is not aimed at people based on the volume setting of their radio as to those that wear headphones for whatever reason...

A suicidal biker, could have been worse if the camera car had someone following closely behind.
