I spend my life driving for work on the motorways, we all know the insufferable fking lane hoggers on the 3 lane variety but now we are getting more and more 4+ lane motorways... jesus fking H Christ...

3 lanes routinely blocked through a succession of bellends sat in lane 3 at 69mph, like a line of lost sheep....

and since when did it become acceptable again for tts to put their fog lights on in torrential rain, I must be showing my age now as I remember TV adverts saying not to fking do this...!!!

rant over
You must be my twin!

A fair bit of DC wkery in there but there are a few examples of one my real pet hates on the roads. When people blindly follow another car past parked vehicles on wrong side of road without looking for themselves if anything is coming the other way. Bloody hate that.

Me too. I'll do the same as in that instance, I'll sit there all day until they admit defeat and reverse and hope it'll make them think about it next time.

Why do this?

Why not just slow down, leave them space to clear, and drive on?

Why intentionally drive looking for conflict? It's absolutely stupid.

I do slow down and stop, stupid. I don't race into the gap and screech to a halt. I talking about idiots who pull into my path when I'm already abreast of parked cars on their side and expect me to melt out of existence. fk 'em.

That's not exactly what was shown on the video - the bellend in the video sped up despite a line of traffic already established on his side.

What he should have done was stop, allow the traffic to clear, and proceed - regardless of them being on his side. Instead, he stopped infront of the BMW which was already established, and forced it to reverse out of his way.

years ago when picking up my mk2 16v golf gti from a body shop that repaired it after being stolen in south sheilds (long story, turned out a better weekend than it sounds). when driving up the a1 i had an hgv with no number plate, that subsequently looked to be racing an identical one, pull across me on the first dual carriageway section north of morpeth while i was getting a bit of a shift on. the end of the trailer that overhangs the rear axle actually passed over the bonnet while i had the car stood on its nose.

thankfully there hadn't been any hard braking at all in the previous few miles, you only got one burst of hard braking on that car (and every other standard mk11 more than 3 years old i ever drove) or i would have been wiped out. it also had a load of what looked like steel beams that were unsecured on the back, as did his partner. no indication prior to the pull out and done in a deliberate manner, imo.

body shop did a good job on the car and tidied up a couple of marks for 100 quid over and above the insurance work,so not all bad.

I guess I'm just not that much of a Christian driver. Agree that the cammer should have moderated his speed but I also see the BMW pull onto the wrong side of the road despite the dash cammer already being "established". BMW driver either never thought to look and just blindly followed the car in front or just tried to bully his way through. Either way I'm not going to facilitate that. Tough luck on him.

So driving looking for conflict.

What difference would it have made to the DCW to stop for 5 seconds to let the traffic clear, then proceed when they can see their way to be clear?

Two wrongs don't make a right.

ETA: at the start of the video, the DCW was not established - in that there was clear space on both sides of the road. If the DCW was sitting where the BMW was, then yes - the BMW would be wholly in the wrong, but that isn't what happened. The BMW was already occupying the one piece of space that both wanted to be in, hence established on the road at that point. This is the point that the DCW decides to be a W, and the BMW had no options left due to the DCW being intentionally confrontational for no good reason.

The DCW even swerved around oncoming traffic to prove a point, living up to the W part of the moniker totally.

so a learner does something a little wrong and its worth posting a dull vid.
learners are expected to do wacky stuff thats why they have the L plate so you get a warning that they are going to do stuff.
also the nothing happens here vid with a van posted twice? really?
the brown trowser thing was a truck driving without looking(lets face it its what they do) but easily avoided.
