A bellend on a bike, maybe we should cut out the middleman and send them straight to organ donation. Yeh right, I know civilised country and all that. I just rue the fact civilised people are obliged to respect the rights of the uncivilised.
With a stinger laid across the road? Had I been riding down there with a couple of mates (no doubt this contributes some kind of banned 'unofficial event') the police officer would have also received such stick. Meanwhile, I know first hand, Southend continues down the pan due to lack of events due to their 'progressive council'. The businesses there are struggling to stay afloat and it'll soon become another Clacton. The mind boggles... rolleyes
The one that was banned as there'd been no organisation setup, and there's an outstanding injunction...

Ah okay, if it's banned then that's alright...I mean st, we wouldn't want to leave our houses and actually do something - the meet only existed for 19 years before with the majority enjoying it safely...

Why is it that when leaving a car show almost everyone seems to have to show off like that by driving like a dick coming out of the gates onto the road? I'm reminded of that clip of the Morgan Plus 8 which pulled out in a similar fashion and had a Peugeot go almost over the top of it cos Morgan driver didn't bother to look to his left.

Peugeot also at fault in that instance. This just looks like a knobhead hitting an innocent motorist who probably looked but didn't expect to have the other car come down at such speed.

Totally disagree. Morgan driver was 100% to blame.

This has been discussed at length. Morgan driver an idiot, probably spun wheels on dirt, didn't see middle island thing on exit (it's a bad road design). Peugeot should have spotted it, avoided it and was probably travelling too fast. Simple really?

The idiot in the Morgan was trying to show off and pulled out straight in front of another car without even looking. No one else is to blame but him.

If the Peugeot was speeding then it’s not as clear cut. Who is to say the Peugeot wasn’t showing off or making a point - or just blind?

What are you on? If I was driving the Peugeot I would have assumed he was going to give way as he was required to, not pull straight out in to my path. The Morgan pulled out at 10 seconds, was hit by 12. He did well to even get the horn sounded TBH.

If the Peugeot was speeding, which I don't think it was, then why did the idiot in the Morgan pull out in front of a speeding car. There is plenty of visibility on that road.

And to suggest the driver of the 206 was trying to make a point is absurd. They were on the brakes the whole time the car was in shot and unable to avoid a collision due to the Morgan pulling out straight in front of them.

As for the "showing off" and being "blind" comments, I can only assume they are directed at the berk in the Morgan.

That was no "organised" meet or a few riders out for a weekend ride.

I've seen those s on quads blasting around Southend and down the a127 through red lights speeding. Blasting red lights Stopping cars at junctions so they can all go through at once fk em need more stingers down there.

And if you and your mates ride like that around a police officer telling you to stop you deserve to get stingered.

You need to understand the history behind the meet and why some wish for such meets to continue (these aren't yobs btw). As for the quad bikes, this is usually just travelers coming down the A127 on a regular basis. Please don't get those two confused.

I was playing devils advocate. You stated the Morgan driver was entirely to blame. I disagreed. The pug was clearly ignoring the 50mph limit - remember he didn't hit a stationary object but one accelerating. In my mind it's another example of when two idiots meet - much like now! smile

You really expect someone wanting to join a road you're on to pull out, when you're virtually on top of them? I'd trust they're going to give way. He had less than 2 seconds to avoid a collision when he pulled in to his path. I personally think most of us would have done the same, slammed on the brakes, shouted 'st' in our head, and have plowed in to him.
