Nah, that's a 40

Anyone driving a 44 tonne artic up someone's chuff for obeying the speed limit (especially when they're clearly attempting an overtake within the envelope of legality, but no excuses) is a prize wker, and should be charged with dangerous driving. Those things are lethal.

Can we be more inclusive, please? DCWs and helmet/body-worn camera warriors. Of the latter, I give you Dave the bus driver from Channel 5's recent "Cyclists: Scourge of the Streets?" documentary.

The answer to Channel 5's question is some are, but so are some motorists (of various vehicle types). However, Dave came across as a particularly rare variety of throbber.

Agreed. Had he followed the correct line the car he beeped at would have been well clear.

Wasn't expecting that, guess the driver had a medical issue.

Encountered this I presume stolen BMW at the weekend (police raced by half a minute later), approached the junction then look at me and pulled ou so I had to slam on the brakes and trigger the ABS to avoid then they overtook the traffic in a risky manner.

Lorry driver far to close not a chance he could stop if had to but cam car also a massive bellend why do people just sit along side someone else neither overtaking or being overtaken? Either get in front and move back to lane 1 or stay behind the van stop fking about and wondering why you get people up your chuff, just another road captain then slowing to 35 in the 50 to try wind people up one day itl be a lunatic in the truck that’ll just plow into him.

"Where does he expect me to go with that van there" either in front or behind it , the dashcam has given sad wkers a weapon

Though I see tailgating trucks every day in the roadworks on the M6 , 50 limit, the trucks don't want to do 50 so intimidate people by driving 15ft behind them even when they can see there's hundreds of cars and trucks in front of them so they're going nowhere.

Car speedos generally over estimate so a car could be doing 45mph for an indicated 50mph
The truck may be trying to drive at 50mph.
Or they may have realised that 55mph is under many enforcement thresholds.
That's a 10mph speed difference for anyone good with sums

Car driver was a muppet, truck driver was a muppet.
However, sabby is right to mention the speedo readings. Trucks have to get the tachometer calibrated every 2 years by law and are surprisingly accurate. There were many times I would pass cars like Citroen’s with a visible digital dash and the speed they had would be 4 or 5 mph out to mine. Of course that doesn’t excuse the truck driver being an idiot for tailgating but sitting and being a self righteous road captain doesn’t help either, deliberately slowing down and baiting should get a ban regardless.

Going through speed limited sections of motorway I always try and keep pace with the trucks. As above, their speedos are generally a lot more accurate than other cars, plus it avoids issues such as that in the original video with a truck stuck up your arse.

Knowing quite a few of the roads he is often in the wrong lane and does seem to have a habit of accelerating to cause near misses.
Yes completely agree. Like the woman half across the road, why not slow down, keep well back, let her know he is no threat.. instead drives right up to her. The risk is it spooks her and she makes a run across the rest of the road when it may not be safe. It looks like he is trying to get dashcam footage so creates an incident when there should not be one for better drivers.

Get this a lot now on the new m6 smart motorway j16-19, signs come on at 50 I set cruise to 50 and seem to flying past all the cars sat in lane 3 and 4 whilst I stay in lane 1 all to myself.

Worryingly from the article about Police prosecution from Dashcams .. Let's hope there are no Dash cam warriors on the M6.
"However, we know from our research that law-abiding drivers are becoming increasingly fed up with the illegal actions of a minority that get away with tailgating, undertaking, and using handheld mobile phones when driving. "
