He may well do, but what sort of camera system did the bod who filmed it have, because the audio on that was uncanny.

Good advert. That'll get a few views.

Who'd have thought something as simple as a missed gearchange would cause such carnage.

A fluffed gear change you say? I can't have been the only person expecting the video to have been another one of Eric McNamara's finest? biglaugh

Was thinking this too - I have some Nest cameras and the audio is good but not that good.

Interesting.

6:28 - you can see the other person is going for the restriction but the dashcammer has decided to make a point of it

That last clip got me. That took some serious stupidity and some serious stones!! DCW needs to move out of the middle lane by the looks of it though.

Sad.

Reminds me of the cams i watch in Key West of Sloppy Joes. So many drunken people, hurricances... Matter of time before the earth claims it all.

If you highlight the link, then right click it and ask Google to go to it, it works OK - strange!

I've got real sympathy for the driver at 1:58 - he approached as slowly as he could (in fact he was stationary just before impact) and it's likely the cyclist was completely hidden behind the line of traffic. Not sure how the driver could/should have avoided that one but I bet he still gets the book thrown at him.
I've got sympathy for him too. It's the sort of manoeuvre most of us would do but he still crossed the lane without being able to see properly. One of the reasons I don't don't like people letting me in/out at junctions - you don't know that they have looked at all.
No sympathy for the silver VW driver, he/she needs to approach that situation much more carefully.
We shall never know if the camera driver actually beckoned them on, but in this case the gap was correctly left to keep the junction clear. Not an invitation for anyone to cross.

I agree I don't like letting people in/out of junctions; no one should ever not take their priority. If there's a queue in the side road then that's where the queue should be, don't make a queue on the main road!

It happens a lot, and it's certainly "misplaced courtesy". I think it's just developed over time from the correct need to leave junctions clear in stationary queues. Yet many people don't even do that!
