Bulls

It just looked ludicrous- I wonder if he was trying to kill himself? In those conditions, at that speed, he was bound to hit something.
Not sure that makes it any better though. He could have found a nice concrete bridge pier to drive into.

Link works for me.Confusing thing about the passenger clips is that they seem to get thrown backwards for a fraction of a second before being thrown forwards. What's going on? I only noticed that by stepping through the video slowly (i..e pressing pause/run a lot). Or is that in the front one which got hit from behind?
.
At least the transport agency (in Greece?) have released the footage and not tried to cover up the event like TFL did with the Croydon tram crash.
Despite having no valid reason for exceeding the speed limit to such an extent the driver still hasn't been charged with an offence 4 years on and is still on the streets despite killing seven.

I've got real sympathy for the driver at 1:58 - he approached as slowly as he could (in fact he was stationary just before impact) and it's likely the cyclist was completely hidden behind the line of traffic. Not sure how the driver could/should have avoided that one but I bet he still gets the book thrown at him.monthefish said:

I've got sympathy for him too. It's the sort of manoeuvre most of us would do but he still crossed the lane without being able to see properly. One of the reasons I don't don't like people letting me in/out at junctions - you don't know that they have looked at all.JimbobVFR said:

Case law will probably lead to it being 50-50 if it ends up getting that far. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
