Certainly from what I see when driving around, a large proportion of the idiotic or aggressive / impatient behavior comes from Audi drivers in general, but also specifically Vauxhall Insignia drivers too for some reason, which I suspect is because they are lower-rung reps who don't (yet) qualify for an Audi company car.
A sweeping statement much. S is a high rung rep of sorts, and ours is private. She's the most polite driver around too.

I've said it before and i'll it again......

It's not the car, it's type of person who desires that sort of car. A percentage of people have dormant anti-social behaviour which is enabled when they feel as though they are of a higher social status. Seeing as much of the western world views cars as a sign of social status, when these people jump into a Audi, BMW, Merc, RR, etc, this anti-social behaviour is unlocked.

They drive aggressively because most of their encounters with other drivers leave them feeling that their pseudo higher status is being disrespected.

A sample size of one doesn't mean much really, there will be people in all makes driving badly / well. But as Lyonspride mentions the type of mentality that drives badly / aggressively is also attracted to certain image vehicles, and Audi is currently the top combination of desirable and attainable to these types , and IMHO the Insignia is what these sort of people end up in when they're not high enough up the pole to get an Audi.

The demographic of the people who generally drive Audis explains it all.
I think this is nonsense

I am still the same person and driver whether I am driving my Audi A6, my Evora, my wifes Octavia Scout, my daughter's fiesta or my sons Fabia.

ps. The Evora is by far the best though at making people get out of the way smile

As someone who lives in the suburbs of Bradford, I can assure you it is not nonsense.

I think that you will find the issue is Bradford not Audi

No. Much as I hate to admit it, lyonspride is spot on with his post above. Sporty Audi, Merc, BMW or VW models every time and 9 times out of 10 it's the same demographic.

I'd go with black being the colour choice of the throbber. Especially with blacked out windows / lights / everything else.

Except in our instance I was steering her to a 320d, we could have had one. She instead decided a 3 year newer car with just over 20k on the clock made much more sense than a 60k BMW, considering she was going to be putting a further 25k P/A on it.

I don't think you understand how generalisations work.

I do cheers, just get a bit bored of 'Insignia, crap car, can't afford XYZ'. It's just lazy, not to mention incorrect.

I didn't say the Insignia was crap, I said it probably gets assigned to lower rung reps that don't qualify for an Audi, the ones below that get Fiestas or whatever, and the ones above get Mercs etc...

I'm not sure it applies like that anymore in office car parks, I've noticed it's those in the junior positions that are more likely to be spending more per month on new PCP'd German metal than the older staff earning more which seem to be happy driving round in decade old Volvo XC90's and the like.

Overtook a Corsa today doing 18mph in a 30 and could see them in the rearview mirror clicking the save button on their dashcam

Precisely. 21 year old nowadays. Poverty spec A-class, AMG styling pack, costing a fortune on monthlies because 'German whip innit bro'
At the other end of the scale there's my 75 year old retired bank manager father, credit cards with large enough limits to buy a new car, uses them for 30 day interest free. Drives a VW Touran worth £1500 tops.
I'd bet the vast majority of new German motors on our roads are PCP'd up to their tits.

Must be some other reason why Insignia drivers always act like such utter bellends then, I assumed they were just angry reps who weren't good enough to get an Audi...

Well if we insist on generalising I would add ranger rovers especially RR Sports into the mix.

Insignias are quite often hire cars, and a lot of people drive hire cars like utter bellends. That's my theory anyway.
