Probably best to start your own thread about this in the Speed, Plod & the Law forum..

Hi - hoping someone can help regarding some sh*t driving of our own caught on camera.

We got a Notice of Intended Prosecution through the door the other day dated 19 days after the alleged offence, addressed to my wife who's the registered keeper. 37 in a 30. Dumb dumb dumb.

My and my wife both drive the car. It is most likely to have been me that was driving but we can't say for certain (the location given a bit vague, and is close to our house, and we both used the car that morning).

Today I've got a NIP for the same incident.

It was recorded by manned equipment which I assume should mean there's photographic evidence.

I've written to the police to say that the NIP is out of date, and also that we can't be sure who was driving so could they provide any photographs (which they recommend on their askthepolice website).

I've also written to the DVLA to double check that the info they hold for us is correct.

Is there anything else we could/should be doing?
Aye , pay the fine and go halfies.

Camera is clever but he's not cool, he just thinks he is. He's flying along through narrow roads with traffic and pedestrians trying to make you think he's so clever but predictably near silent and rapid progress, not to mention small, almost always ends the same way.
You do realise that article is worded and phrased in such a way as to lead you to forming that opinion? It's subtle, but it's pretty obvious.
I didn't read the article I just watched the video and reached the same conclusion. It's a nice clip and he skates well but he's going really fast and zipping through was and people and there's literally no way the person getting out of that door could have expected him coming like that. Lucky he wasn't more seriously hurt.

Sorry this isn't dash cam but it does involve a car and if it didn't look so painful (both physically and embarrassingly) it would be hilarious.

Aussie coppers seem to be absolute bds though, "can't help but notice you were driving your car, that's a $40m dollar fine and 9000 demerits"

swedish police have been historically bad at chasing joy riders, that's why a lot of a underground dvds like ghostrider etc were filmed there

the only similar commercially made video in england that had a police chase in was stu-pid riding and it looked faked anyway
Stu-Pid was real, they went to prison IIRC

As said, you want to post this on the Speed, Plod, etc. forum. But as a side note, we had the same on the M3 recently, couldn't remember who was driving and checked the photo which very usefully showed the back of the car (it's a 1 series sport so has darkened rear windows too).

I fully expect the photo to be crystal clear and feature me, probably smiling for the camera.

Out of interest how did your experience go after all that?

The more of his clips I watch, the more I believe he is either seriously mentally retarded (I mean properly) or has an undiagnosed brain tumour.

Noone can be that bad/ stupid.

I agree. And I honestly believe that he doesn't actually have the mental capacity to drive safely or use common sense and logic behind the wheel and it's only a matter of time before he's responsible for a serious accident. One of his comments on an older video that I thought would be funny if he wasn't being serious is that cars coming over the brow of a hill at night should turn their lights off so they don't dazzle oncoming cars who might not be able to see them indicating.

WARNING one fatality and possible distressing scenes in this.
Good result, think the Met are allowed to do that as well, to some degree.
to the same degree would be good.

My friend has a 360 camera with a selfie stick, the camera software edits the stick out, when I first saw it in action earlier on this year, I was very impressed.
