Mines around 220-230BHP now and its amazing to drive. A regular Cooper would probably have "done the job" for less money but then part of the fun for me is disproportionate amount of power it has compared to the bulk of MINIs out there - usually Ones and One Ds.

Yes, therein lies the problem with MINIs. Buy a Fiesta ST-3 and you're all set. Buy a Cooper / Cooper S and they need loaded up with £5K of options to get all the bits you (think you) need.

I think Pro Nav or whatever its called now is an eye watering £2,000 option so i politely declined that, also my Seven spec car slums it with 1/2 leather instead of full leather.

Yes, therein lies the problem with MINIs. Buy a Fiesta ST-3 and you're all set. Buy a Cooper / Cooper S and they need loaded up with £5K of options to get all the bits you (think you) need.

Only real frippery was a sunroof which I love having

Salesman was amazed I didn't want 17s and Xenons etc

Still sold it very easily 9 years on

My Mini Cooper S came out at £25k with 5k of options and I haven't even got the big nav only the small nav! £25k is crazy money for a Mini when you consider its mild performance. Thankfully it can be tuned up for more performance for reasonable cash though.

If they were aiming at it at hairdressers, it'd have a transverse engine and be FWD allowing it to be cheaper as a result. The RWD decision wasn't made to keep hairdressers happy, I don't think
