An Aero 8 has always been top of my lottery list but this is stunning.

Some sort of dark candy red with those wheels would look fantastic.
yes

I had a proper look at a new Aero 8 a while ago at Richard Thorne Classic Cars - who I think are well known in Morgan circles (?) - and they're unlike anything else, properly wonderful things.

This example is genuinely fantastic. clap
Yes they are probably sold more Aero than any other dealer. Where I go for mine to be serviced.

I never quite understand lary colours for these cars no need there is enough curves and shapes going on ..but then again you gotta see them in the flesh they really are a car that do not come out well on a photo ..and yes they are a marmite car for sure .
Still love mine ...and marmite

Looks great to me. I don't mind the colour. Black wheels are practical and work with the black (carbon?) roof and wing mirrors.

Congratulations to the owner.

Nice car but I think we can leave the super-showy colors for the "West End Cruise and Middle Class Angst" club in their exotics.

Dark Greens, Greys or perhaps something flat/matt/70s paint styled - more 'British Sports Car' and less "see my YouTube channel" please, thanks.

Those commenting on the cable/coat/boot - the photo is taken in Morgan's valeting/inspection bay. It's a working part of the factory rather than a photographic studio wink

And they're so busy that they couldn't spend 60 seconds moving this stuff? That's certainly not the impression I've got visiting Morgan - everything happened at a pretty glacial pace!

Are you new to the world of cars? You've been posting for a fair while but do you honestly know nothing about Morgan or the Aero which has been in production for 17 years? Now that production is ending we can at least be glad that you have, at last, given us the weight of your carefully considered and well crafted opinion....

How can something be "faux-retro" anyway? Surely it's either retro or it's not.

In comparison to what exactly? Its the most unique in its class by some margin I would say.
Just my opinion, but I don't feel it needs to be compared in order to illustrate the design's shortcomings, which are specifically that the headlights continue to jar due to the apparent inward facing aspect and, combined with the sunken/recessed radiator grille, it leads to a strong and very unusual 'inverted' appearance.

Again, just my opinion only - beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc.

I have the +8 version of this car - with the same chassis and the same 4.8 BMW V8.

It is the most fun car I've owned because it seems designed for country lanes and for keeping (vaguely) within speed limits. In an era where our camera clad carriageways are jammed with traffic, a Morgan, to me anyway, makes total sense. Huge fun, hand made in a shed near Birmingham by a man called Brian with a hammer - and actually made very well indeed.

They're not cheap - when you consider what else is out there for the same money. But I know what I'd rather have. smile

We live down the road from the factory, whilst walking past today, there was this parked in the entrance, looked brilliant!

Sorry for the grain, I was tempted to go and have a closer look.

We've don't the factory tour twice, each time I've gone to the classifieds to have a look!

Morgan are quite unique. If you're looking for Porsche levels of fit, finish and reliability..........you should probably buy a Porsche.
If you want something fun and you don't need to prove anything to anyone......buy a Morgan.

Aluminium chassis, but the body frames are still made of ash.

From what I know there will not be any V8 replacement. However the new power source will be both lighter and more powerful which when coupled with extensive weight savings across the board with regards chassis/running gear/construction will result in an impressive power/weight ratio.
It’s a car that cries out for an I6 if it’s not going to have a V8 and with Merc and Jag joining BMW in building I6s off their I4 lines is that the likely route Morgan will be going?
Let's just say it's an in-line 6 with twin turbos!!
That's a shame. A certain 5.0 supercharged V8 from just down the road in Bridgend would have been nice......
