300 mega rare Supercars, over £20k raised for charity, people still moan....

Only on PH.

Or possibly the Mail.

£22k not a terribly impressive amount raised (£80 / car) given that there is conservatively £60 MM of metal in that photo alone.

Seems like a bit of a figleaf to me.

A serious amount of metal!

However in this photo there are around 195 cars, not 300.

Good spot
I always thought the road legal one was red not the purple of the show car which this one is. Iirc there is also a yellow road car with a speed 12 body but a v8 engin from aston martin.

off topic but project 7/12 as shown at the nec was best looking version ever...sadly never made it to the road
As I remember it the red road legal car was a Cerbera Speed 12, I don't think there were any road legal Speed 12s.

Well done PH - another thread which is ALL about the pictures and you manage to post st, tiny low-res images with loads of artefacts.

You might as well not bother.
I always enjoy looking through the PH photo articles (for free), I get the impression that a lot of others do too. If HD content is what you're after there are plenty of more 'specialist' websites out there, I suggest you visit them, it might help with your frustration...

What would be the right amount per car for you, and why?

This is a rhetorical question. Just because people 'could' donate more, it doesn't mean they 'should'.

'one of the only' ...whatever that means.
To my knowledge there are only two road legal FXXs in the world. This is one of them

What sort of miserable bd rushes to a thread, just to moan about free pictures that they are given?
I feel very sorry for you pair if this is such an important part of your life.

I would have expected that to get top mention, yet not a single word on it. How the hell is that possible, more so considering the article goes through the second row in the shot, where it is parked. Don't tell me the author didn't know what it is and just decided to skip it? Probably the most unique car on the grid, maybe together with the Farboud, which I think is a 1 of 1 (albeit much less impressive)..

How much did you donate to Bluebell Wood then?

That would be because that car was in a horrendous state. It had no engine, no interior, and was falling to pieces...

It’s a bowler is it not? Sure someone else will have greater knowledge then me!

I thought it was a bowler as well, especially with the extra width

It's been around a while, Guy Martin drove it a few years back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-8uAM4LWX0

Thanks for your insightful comment.

I can't speak for Funk, but this bd offered some constructive criticism and wasn't looking for free photos. I even engaged in some further discussion with the photographer. If I wanted free photos I'd go take them myself. Pistonheads, no offence to them, is NOT an important part of my life, merely something I look at periodically for amusement.

Have a nice day!

It belongs to JE Engineering, which probably means that there's something suitably wild under the bonnet!
