For another week. At least the roads are quiet, dreading the return of the park-where-I-like breeders rolleyes
How have you managed to quote someone who isn't there? And who were they responding to? I'm calling witch, whaaaaaaa burn them all!!
The person I quoted was removed as was my original comment but mysteriously this quote remained ... sadly I’m no witch (or wizard) lol

Shame. Witches/wizards would be a far more interesting explanation than someone merely breaking forum rules smile

The person who made the quotes removed was certainly a complete wizard's sleeve

Given many cars become classics because of their engine and sound (ie the emotiveness) and electric cars are somewhat sterile in this respect I would suggest their collectibility will be limited

Do many people collect old batteries??
Many cars also become classics because of historical significance. Given the Roadster was the first production car with lithium-ion cells and moved the game on several notches in range and performance I'd suggest it will be very desirable for collectors. Especially once electric cars become the norm and predudice reduces. The lack of depreciation looks like a good indicator that it'll be a classic too.

There are probably a number of ironies, here. For example: it's not impossible that, in 10 years, the cost to retrofit an advanced battery array may be relatively low. Perhaps this even weighs less than the original.

If so, this "old" Tesla Roadster will offer better dynamics than when new. Quite a contrast to the expectations and costs of looking after an older ICE car.

People collect the oddest things it seems. Just the other day I learned that collecting training shoes was a thing. As said above this has some historical significance and could well become sought after. I'll see this for sale in 20 years time at £XXX and rue the day I didn't buy this no doubt, from an investment POV.
