I'll never be able to afford any of those cars... and yet, watching that prick sitting on the Lambo, I feel like ive succeeded in life more than he ever will.

Social media is built around bullst 99% of the time I guess. We all know there are UK channels bragging about the cars they don't have a V5 for. That said, if no-one is getting hurt (financially) I don't think people care too much.

Do we know that?

I don't think that applies to the established names.

Pretty sure you can read back through this thread and you'll find an example of two, if you've a mind to.

I've read every single comment in both volumes of the thread since it began! There was the suggestion that it was the case but there's never been any confirmation or specific names mentioned that I can recall.

I'm as intrigued as to who is telling porkies as the next person!

I'll try and find the exact post (if I'm at a loose end sometime but don't hold your breath smile ) but am pretty certain someone replied with the fact that the V5 to 'someone's car' was sat in their filing cabinet. I've also heard a rumour that one of the UK dealers is 'selling' their stock hence the very limited mileage the 'owners' rack up. It's just a case of smoke and mirrors or 'finessing' as our American friend put it in that video and as I said before, if no-one's being hurt it doesn't really matter.

Not any of the mainstream youtubers, but I've spotted a couple on other YT channels, and a few of the Instagram wannabes have been in vehicles that were owned by the company I work for.

I think our bearded friend has had a few demo vehicles in the past that he indicated he had bought though?

I've not finished it yet but Shmees video of the Aventador SVJ is brilliant so far. Just the sounds as if flies round the track in the first few minutes are good enough reason to watch .

Also the presenting/monologues etc are honestly getting better and better. Genuinely informative and clear and concise, just need to cut down on the constant 'Epic!' for everything.

Yep I enjoyed that one too. In chunks wink

Noticed Salomondrin hasn’t posted anything for ages, wonder what’s going on there.

In the meantime I’m loving B is for Build’s 240Z with an M5 V10 drivetrain. I don’t think he realised how big a job it was going to be initially, and I still think putting the M5 dash in is a mistake, purely from an ergonomics POV, but my god it’s going to look and sound great when it’s finished.

Will probably need the E60 cluster and other modules from the donor car before it will run.

Yeah it’s a mega tricky build for sure, needs three ECUs for the engine, gearbox and other bits, plus so much wiring. I think he said the loom weighed about 35kg!!

The problem I have with the dash is that due to its size it’s forced the steering wheel too far to the middle and too low, if he went with a custom fibreglass dash it could be set how he wants. I really don’t think he’ll be able to drive it once he gets a floor, seats, pedals etc in there.

Does not lack ambition.

Stopped watching his channel when he decided he wanted to have multiple projects on the go and never finished one of them...

Nope, theres a clever way round it using the Life Racing ECU, they do a pre programmed E60 M5 one for these conversions. Steve Whiston used it in his V10 powered Z4 to get around a lot of the too many brains issue.

Ooh nice. Does that still use the SMG box?

biggrin at what gets shouted at 1:01.

Although mostly a lot more bellendry going on that's going to end in tears at some point.
