JayEmm has just bought a new car to replace his Evora. I have to say that I definitely approve.

Interesting choice bearing in mind he did a video not so long ago saying his previous dabbles with bmw have ended up costing him.

Some very good comments on his video -

The first and, regrettably, the last time I drove an unmodified E92 M3 ended in tears. Having enjoyed the car at Nurburgring the previous afternoon, an event at Spa with RMA on one of their track days, beckoned before returning home. Alas, the lusty V8, hitherto an engine verging on mechanical porn, climaxed in an orgasm of self-destruction. The E92 M3? A beautiful lady with an incurable STD. Put a condom on your wallet

I think so long as the big ticket issues are dealt with then they should be reliable. More reliable than my E60 M5 anyway.

I predict the M3 won't be around much longer than a year, but I doubt jayemm is gonna lose much on it. Hope he has fun.

M3s are still doing good money. I guess it depends how much he gets out of tracking it. Good luck to the guy.

John you are clearly very bitter man (boy?)

But you posted an accusation earlier of Tom about pushing dodgy crypto. Then when someone queried this you dodged the answe by insulting them

Now I’m no fan of Tom, in fact I can count the number of his videos I’ve watched on one hand. But I do recall him falling out with some guy (Anshin or something like that) in part I think because the latter was doing some dodgy FX scheme

So John, rather than being abusive. Show is some evidence of Tom pushing a dodgy scheme. Or can i suggest you stop making things up before the moderators, or worse still lawyers, get involved
Crack on with the lawyers. Good luck with that one. rofl
I get pop ups regularly with his mug fronting scam crypto’s. Maybe he should talk to his lawyers.

Thanks for that - very interesting watch. His brother does most of the talking which surprised me and seems to be the driving force behind their main business. An honest discussion.
Yeah that surprised me to be honest, from the Youtube videos Tom comes across as the more outgoing brother but the interview appeared to show the opposite.

Seems that Tom is astute enough though to realise what works online and has tailored his content to get the most engagement.
Including the promotion of various Binary/Bitcoin get rich quick schemes which are nothing but Scams. In the long term, operators like this come unstuck. Comes across as a dodgy wide boy.
Eh? Have you watched the video? I don't know many dodgy wide boys who are a qualified Barrister/Solicitor's.

Got any links to them pushing binary/bitcoin? I don't recall this.
You’re not serious? A qualified Barrister. Oh my, I’m impressed. I don’t take the time to screen shot pop ups. Google it. Oh and if you want to sue me. Please do. My dad drives a Lamborghini. Paid cash and is a QC.

I can’t believe anyone thinks it’s serious. Even you Beefie. Stating it’s impressive to have a law degree. I suppose the Bar is set quite low. biggrin

I unsubbed immediately after he sold the Evora. Looked like the final straw for him was the supercharger failure. I can empathise with his frustration with his dealer (I detest my (Mazda) dealership) but critising Lotus for not supporting his very minor Youtube channel reeked of entitlement. I also think the German fella, who has loaned him some bespoke lightweight wheels for the Evora, would have expected rather more exposure for his trouble too.

When did they qualify as solicitors/barristers?

Masters of self-promotion for sure and enough low hanging fruit for them to succeed with that. They seem to work hard and diversify and unlike several others there doesn’t seem to be a god forbid mentioned money tree from the family sprinkling magic down. Watching a golden spooned guru answering questions on how he started property businesses and trading businesses makes me cringe when I used his dads business on so many occasions in a professional capacity.

As for the Exton twins, when I found out some of the first “interviews” were arranged through a (paid for) PR company I got the measure of it. Smoke, mirrors, interviewed success stories and lots of good presentation. Follow the direction hinted at to an end and it’s often not quite what is alluded to, although carefully presented and with no lies told.

You mean like Hamilton, redline redline, did I say redline. They must be attracting Plenty of new customers. They will soon build baby change areas for their clients to get their nappies changed.

And let’s face it, if we were offered some sort of deal with a super car dealer, which self-respecting petrolhead would not jump at the chance?

Fair play to those ‘making it’ with any of these vlogging things. In some cases it’s their main income, in others it afford opportunities and a lifestyle (which is what a lot of folks’ money gets spent on so it’s little different if it’s ‘genuine’ or otherwise). In other cases it looks like a (n ironic) nice side-addition to add income/freebies/invitations on the back of your existing wealth when guys like mf 888 or Andy74 can showcase their earned collection and garner enough followers that companies are attracted to their reach. To some extent some of the youtubers have also now grown their own organically to be in that position where the interest is on their own toys now rather than what they started with and good for them.

Some of those, however, it’s about what is not said rather than what is. A few subtle drop hints and people conclude a variety of things. Working for a bank does not mean a stock trader, but many will conclude that. Having a law degree does not mean a solicitor/barrister, but many will conclude that. Working as a trader/property developer may be smoke and mirrors when you have a large dollop of capital injection from a father cashing in on an 7 figure sum selling a business. Etc etc. Social media in general allows exposure to anyone and people will put two and two together and often make four but scratch the surface quite often and all is not what it seems. The same could be said of the fake blonde we all know who tags herself in the coolest of bars of a Saturday and goes back to her nail bar on a Monday, the only concern I have is what it’s breeding in a social environment but that’s for the next generation to worry about.

The reality is there are a handful of credible you tubers. Shmee, JWW, Harry Metcalfe. The others are plastic and fake who appeal to young boys. It's not an enduring model in my opinion.

Great post.

AV really is the worst of the breed.

PS - I understand it was an 8 figure sum wink
