Would be nice to see some content from PHer (sometimes) Woppum who has lots of very nice, and interesting, cars.

He likes to keep his head down unfortunately - not that I blame him - but it would make for much less ‘desperate’ content than the view-chasers post.
Doesn't 2many carz have a YT channel?
Yep and he seems like a very good bloke with some very nice cars, too.

Woppum’s buying/collecting takes it up a notch though, like the FF seemingly bought to carry dogs around in. laugh

I've never seen any of his threads, I'll have to have a nosey.

Has anyone seen Garage 54 eng? Easiest way to sum it up is they're Russian.

Or Scotty Kilmer, the guy who thinks everything is bad for your car.

Scotty Kilmer is one of the best on YouTube and gets crazy numbers. Even better than Kilmer are the numerous take offs people do of him. You certainly could accuse him of being another bland YouTuber.

Doesn't 2manycarz have a lusso for that exact purpose?

I was thinking about this tonight, it's obviously not a scam, but it's obviously the icing of the very big cake of everyone-can-film-anything in 2019 rather than BBC1, BBC2 and ITV when I was a kid, and not yet appreciative of Channel 4.

Let's call this z=3 where z is the original number of channels in 1976.

We can sum it up with this equation -

Let B equal the number of channels now in 2019
Let Q equal the quality per channel.
Let R be the amount of times I click the refresh button.

And finally T being the amount of time I watch a video before R.

Given the above, as B increases beyond z= 3, then the Q decreases exponentially whilst R increases exponentially and T tends to 0 ( zero ) or bugger all as they still say in Yorkshire.

Ok, enough maths. Lets picturegramatically watch examples.

This is where Q reaches a zenith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIdNcbsgOiM

A man takes a £4500 car to the arctic circle whilst his good lady of many a year ( the same one who wrapped her head scarf around the Countach gearlever on the trip to Italy to reduce 2nd level harmonics) films him. This is an example of a car lovers youtube video almost getting to infinity.

Compare this to where we get negative amounts frown

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqlB6aZte6s&fe...

A "racing" man takes a £100 000 car to a cark park whilst saying "the winter is here" and then complains about a stone chip. Here Q has an inverse relationship to the prior video as you continue to watch it. If only an infinite amount of monkeys tied to ex-Gatwick incursion mega drones were there to help. And some duct tape over all their mouths.

Having said all that I do like Shmee because he is an obvious enthusiast from a lowly car and put up with all this sort of stuff on these volumes with good cheer.

He is sort of like the anti youtuber particle who wants to be Harry Metcalfe when he is old.

It would be great for Harry and Tim to do a video together. Old v young. Man who lied to his bank manager back in the day to get Evo started to the best British Youtuber of tuday

I'd really enjoy that. biggrin

Just watched Tim's Ford GT at Topaz video and I was shocked at the condition of the factory paint. It looks flawless and I didn't even notice any orange peel. Speaking of bad paint, there's a post over on FChat right now of a Pista owner who has to get a new bumper because the paint literally flaked off. I've even heard of PPF ripping the paint off some Ferrari's because the paint wasn't properly cured at the factory. Good on Ford for putting in the effort with the paint.

Anyone seen the latest update to Harry's garage, the costs to properly maintain his cars was a little eye watering. Some of it was tailoring to his taste, added up it came to quite a figure on the other hand he enjoys driving his cars.

I saw that last night, £50k to maintain his fleet for the year! Not surprised though as running the stuff he has isn't cheap. What got me was that he sold one of his cars (forget which one) which in turn bought his new combine and tractor.

Would Harry get a fee from either TopGear or GrandTour for them using his cars or would he have let them use them gratis as he's a mate?

I think that one was this one https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24876/lot/379/ and it seems to have sold for a cool £365k.

Edit: whoops, I linked to an earlier, cheaper one.

Nope.

Basically another video of TGE yapping about depreciation but once again forgetting to mention that he's probably lose 30k on his SV and he's going lose even more when he gets rid off it. And Archie, who's become a car expert overnight, keeps yapping about how the Perf's are plummeting but in reality they're still above 200k. He comes off sounding bitter because I think he really wants a Perf but the poor chap can't afford to rent oops I mean finance one atm.

Itd be better if they talk about the next Lambo Evo and how it gives something different to cars they either have owned or know about.

But to go round saying this badge will say 640 instead of 610... Along with the usual bants stuff about being rich and depreciation it's just st tbh.

What I don't get is when they are both being interviewed or something related to their careers they become alot more watchable. But then I'm their age and they must be appealing to the 14 year olds out there maaateeee

Has Archie got a drive at the moment anywhere? That sort of thing would be far more interesting than this frankly vacuous stuff waffling on about cars that few people can afford. If you are going to waffle on about an expensive car it needs to be more centred around the experience of driving it/what it sounds and looks like than depreciation that your trust fund won't even feel a dent in.
