Crikey Tim, 723k views in 22 hours on the Supra video!

Your Senna video where you announce in the title that you're getting one has achieved 439k in 6 months, a popular choice for your viewers it would appear.

Huge difference in the like/dislike ratio though.

I didn't spot that, you're right it does have a few dislikes.

Not quite as bad as the new Gillette advert though hehe (3m views in 24 hours, 44k up and 269k down)

I've just been looking at the numbers on some of Tims videos and it only highlights how "out of touch" I am with viewing habits.

The modified Porsche with some dutch chap who I'e never heard of has 1.2m views in 2 weeks, yet the GTR being nailed around the 'ring only has 92k in 2 months.

I wouldn't even know where to start explaining or analysis of what makes popular content!!

It's the same old rule of thumb - what we like on PH is not what the 'audience' likes (and vice versa). cf Tim's Mille Miglia video which we all loved but the audience didn't take to

The best thing for Tim to do is to ask us what we'd like to see in upcoming videos and then scratch those ideas biggrin

So it seems that nobody can post YT links any more? Someone else posted our podcast link and I quoted it, all posts have been deleted. Very odd.

This is why the new terms and conditions are so important and need clarifying.

Unless the owner of the video posts it, it breaks T&C. BUT owners aren’t allowed to post their own videos as it’s self promotion as per rules.

So my quote broke the rules as I effectively posted the link again? rofl

I have absolutely no idea mate.

Whole thing seems silly and it’s all the fault of whoever is implementing and moderating the forum.

They said it’s the same as before. But it obviously isn’t as this has happened.

I didn’t see the original posts but was it another member who posted the YouTube link to your video? That in itself breaks the new terms!

I can’t understand why your post would be deleted if you didn’t post a link.

Don't let the tts win. Continue to post commentary and descriptive titles so we can find the video you are talking about.

Also, I'll take it as an action to subscribe to more channels (Good for the channels) so I get more visibility into them.

Don't let them get to us!

Just came on to see why my post had been deleted.

So it looks like CarGurus have even less of a sense of humour than Haymarket. ThTs going to make PH a fun place to be, not rolleyes

It's really not that hard to find the videos people are talking about without the direct links.

@Beefmeister - You mentioned your own podcast at least twice, asking that people give it a listen and then quoted it when someone finally posted a link, so it's not really all that surprising it got deleted is it??

No, it’s not but up until very recently (today), it has always been ok for someone to post a link, as long as it’s not to their own video.

What happens if I post a link to Shmee’s latest video, given that he is a contributor here? Will that be deleted?

If so, we may just as well all pack up and go home.

So much for CarGuru’s assertions that there will be no knee-jerk reactions. Bunch of arse.

And will the actual YouTube thread be closed down as well?

what is this just in this thread or the whine forum?

A car forum where you can't post links to YouTube videos? I'm at a loss as to how anyone could think that was a sensible course of action? First step to closing the forums? Evo did it....

Congrats Tim on the Supra. A much talked about and controversial car already. Smart move for the channel I think.
Like the car or not, the response has been remarkable. My Supra 'launch video' is the fastest growing video on my channel since the Aventador crash just under 5 years ago, having just reached 1,000,000 views in 31 hours. Even at this moment it's flowing along at 45,000 views an hour which is above the maximum spike on either the Senna of Ford GT collection day videos.

As pointed out by others, the dislike ratio stands at 16.2% because it's a car with a lot of discussion, hype and controversy around it - however fairly obviously these are attractive qualities in a car to a YouTuber! I've obviously seen a lot of messages both ways with regards to this since yesterday; but the negative side surrounds the fact it's a very different car from the A80 generation and therefore how can it appeal to me as "it's just a BMW". On the flip side I've pointed out to people that I rather like BMWs and am very happy about that!
