Is that supposed to be ironic coming from you?
It's an interesting subject for sure.
I’m with you on that. It's an interesting subject for sure.
If you put yourself out there promoting a lifestyle which the impressionable believe they too could obtain if they only followed suit then you’re fair game for more inquisitive minds.
Indeed. It's not a dirty subject to be taking payment to promote a business but youtubers know it affects their credibility. Hiding it is worse for them in the long run as it will destroy trust between them and the audience.
It's it right that in the uk if a video includes paid promotion it should flash up at the start of the video?

Theoretically yes. It's it right that in the uk if a video includes paid promotion it should flash up at the start of the video?
How one defines PP is a grey area..
I think JWW has been smart in the way he's set it up. He's always talked about 'bringing it over from Dubai'.
According to companies house he isn't a director of anything outside of clothing.
I'd imagine the target audience will be people who would ship the cars via truck to them and never actually visit the property. Perhaps the actual space and the 'goldfish bowl' is more of a sales space from those other brands as they expect the people who do visit to be able to afford their wares.
I also think you'll see the space get used for events, brand launches and such so it'll double up as space for that too.

Regards Topaz, are they not massively backed by the support of HR Owen? They are a stones throw from Topaz and and i am guessing that's where alot of the Pagani work comes from. Maybe Mr JWW wants a 'piece of the pie'. Just to clarify, this is just me thinking out loud so absolutely nothing to back it up.
I just wish I could afford a PPF from Topaz on my cars.

Whilst Topaz is on topic, can anyone help me understand what this Topaz skin thing is?
From the little information I can find, I think it's basically spray-on PPF.I mean, if it is and they've managed to patent a product like that then that would be a huge step forward if it genuinely works as well as the film.
But I'm not 100% sure. There's nothing on their website yet, I've seen AndyB's 488 Challenge is currently being done with it.. I imagine Shmee or someone will cover it in a video soon..

As much as I do like the banter on this thread and it is one of my fav reads on PH I do think we are starting to get too personal here peeps, how they make purchases of cars and stuff is not really something I am interested in or would like to comment on. I would like to think we could all get back to posting instructive information on this thread that is more interesting to read than the last few pages.
Bringing it back on track:
Tim did you see the Stradman interview was nice to see him talk about how you inspired him into youtube and his early vids where based around your style. Was really nice to see how honest he was on his style and how far he has come.
Tim have you ever done a similar interview'esk video about you? I know I would like to see it if you have not.

Beefy brought that video to my attention actually when Life of Palos uploaded it and as he mentioned we also did a podcast together that will probably cover a lot of what you'd be interested to hear more about. However, it was very kind of Stradman to speak like that and as we just crossed paths in Arizona with McLaren, we've been talking through some plans for videos together later this year when I'm in the USA with my Ford GT for a big tour.Tim have you ever done a similar interview'esk video about you? ^ on that note did Salomondrin let you know he was going to do a senna collection comparison video?
No, and all of my messages to him since the incident in December have been totally blanked... it's most odd! The video itself was actually quite misleading because it gives a lot of credit to McLaren for 'organising things' that they didn't organise... Of course it was shot very intentionally as a Christmas day semi-viral style video; but the car was actually in my possession prior to that day so we took it in, wrapped it up ourselves, arranged for my old LT coupe to come etc. The critical bit was that McLaren arranged a 2 hour time slot for my crew to get to work on the Boulevard - although that made it excruciatingly tight in terms of time to get everything with so little time so it was fully planned out, scripted and set up for how we'd film it.e46m3Mark said:
Shame there isn't a cheaper (yet still decent quality) alternative for paupers like myself. I'd like my old 3 series done but a couple of the quotes I had were eye watering.
It’s thishttps://ngenco.com
Topaz are just a authorised installer, like many many many up and down the country for normal PPF
I had my Project 8 PPF’d and got a quote from Topaz which was double the price of having it done directly with Xpel in Herts.
The rich and their money are easily parted.

He did our podcast last week, should be live next week. 50mins of chat.
I was wondering when this would be going live. Tim - it's quite odd that Ale hasn't responded to you, especially given your collaboration not too long ago and the fact he put up that video comparing your Senna collection videos.

I don't know if I've done something to upset him, but I certainly hope not.Anyway, funny story, he started car YouTubing off the back of me filming a video with his S63 Coupe back when I spent summer 2014 in LA. We'd been chatting on Facebook since he just had a C63 in the garage!
