I have watched a few of his videos, I do think he caters for a different audience, very much the UK modified scene. Some of the driving on the roads is a bit on the risky side for my liking..

A lot of the UK modified scene don't like how he drives either, I genuinely think his audience are mostly too young to drive themselves (init)

Always thought that, rightly or wrongly. If that is the case ,would his llf club still work?

I recall seeing him review a guys GTR running substantial power to say the least. The poor guy when Ricky was driving looked petrified, doing some speed on what looked like poorly sighted roads. Not good!

Anyone else think LLF has a weird driving position? like he has suffered a mild stroke and slumped at the wheel.

Yeah he has this weird, vacant expression. Don’t get him myself but understand he has a “particular” audience.

I noticed that Damien on the CarGuys has just recently sold his F40, looking forward to seeing what he replaces it with. He does have a lovely garage of cars..

got to love all the hate people get here! LLF channel I like, his driving is questionable and clearly scares the passengers but then again, he is putting his foot down on roads that he knows so makes sense why he is more confident.

problem is that they are public roads and you have no idea whats going to be around the corner but since we never see the front/drivers pov we don't know how far ahead he can see etc.

better than your SOL and others who seem to recycle the same crap over and over again.

Yep nothing repetitive at all about jumping in someone else's high powered car every week and driving it like a prick

different car, owners, mods etc.

compared to-;

finance a supercar
wrap a supercar
put exhaust on said super car
unwrap said super car
talk about how much it costed
sell it, make a big deal about it
finance another super car
wrap a supercar..

you get the idea.

I'd rather watch LLF, carthrottle, petrolicious, dannydc2 etc

I quite enjoy LLFs videos too, he comes across quite genuinely on camera, his videos are generally entertaining and give you a feeling of what it's like to drive a particular car which is why I watch. He (or team) is quite talented as he is churning out so much in such a short time.

But I agree that it's obvious that he is pushing on a little too much on the road, his editing and camera angles emphasise that aspect for sure.

I do quite like the setup of LLF and other channels that showcase normal peoples modified cars, I suppose Petrolicious is the pinnacle of that and an example of how to do it right, without all the dodgy driving.

I remember seeing an LLF video where he talked about his first cars and driving history, he had basically written off every car he owned due to dangerous driving...

As opposed to:

get someone else's car drive it stupidly
get someone else's car drive it stupidly
get someone else's car drive it stupidly
get someone else's car drive it stupidly...

Neither channels are particularly interesting or engaging but I cant see how TGE or Archie can be considered anymore repetitive than LLF

Agree on Carthrottle and DannyDC2, Haven't watched petrolicious but I'll give it a go tonight, any stand out vid you can recommend?

Basically just look at their video list and find a car you like, they're all exceptional (and similarly shot)

I love this RX-7 one: https://youtu.be/hKQJghm3_7s

Oh dear, I think I need a private moment....

A late spec FD RX7 is my dream semi-obtainable car, which becomes less obtainable every day thanks to the daily increase on price on everything 90s JDM.

I remember those days, I nearly bought one too but got something else instead, that was a mistake!

I stupidly turned down a mint low mileage MK1 MR2 for £2k because I wanted a MK2 Turbo instead. Another bad mistake as fuel prices then shortly skyrocketed so had to sell it on within 6 months, that car ended up in a hedge & written off 4 months later by it's inexperienced owner....If I'd bought it I would still have that MK1 today & it'd be worth 3-4x more now! banghead

Have you not seen the 'who has the best garage on PH' thread? The UK is quite big.
Yes but how many people do you know that have those types of garages, also compare the size of the UK to USA. Unless you are already very wealthy it is extremely expensive to acquire a plot of land to store or work on cars.
You don't have to be wealthy to have a garage and enough room to park. Loads of people have car projects on the go.

Imagine owning a mint Mazdaspeed FD RX-7 Type-RS A-Spec, the one with the Perspex bumper driving lights from Gran Turismo, for a year, and selling it for £11k. One of only 200 made. Would probably be about £40k now.

<facepalm>

So where I live and most of my mates live, there's barely any room for parking, maybe one car and that is street parking or one allocated parking space if they live in a flat

Looking at garages to rent that could actually fit one or two cars, I'm seeing around £300-350 a month minimum for a small garage that will fit one car with an adequate amount of room to work on a car. There are cheaper ones available however you'll struggle to park the car in there and open the door to get in or out.
