Of course I understand and what you do is brilliant. But dare say if I was juggling a big finance payment or had saved for a decade for a nice car, id be extremely protective about it compared to someone 'wealthy' in the traditional sense. I bet they all wish they could treat them as just a car!
Oh come off it. These guys can afford to obtain and run these cars, there's nothing stopping them doing the same things Pete does. They just choose not to because they're too busy with their handycam chatting on Youtube about the texture of their last jobby.2manycars said:

Pete I know you're not one to joke but I'm actually off work Monday and Friday next week so if it happens to be either of those days I'd be more than happy just to see it in person!
I think weather permitting Monday would be best. And of course I don’t joke about things like this. DannyScene said:

I agree with both of you. I just think they should do more for the average Joe out there. No point pretending you’re like the rest of the U.K. when you won’t spend time with people from all walks of life. Jump in my CGT or LFA and I’ll take you for a blast, ask me to go through every detail of my 250 and I will, come and eat a McDonalds of the back of my Senna wing and I’ll eat some nuggets with you. It’s not bloody difficult is it you YouBoobers!!! Haha
It's just 4 wheels and roof. I have to respect your outlook! TheAngryDog said:

Thanks, like I get that their cars are expensive but don’t act like you’re living a big baller lifestyle when in fact you’re worried about taking it out. I took my 1966 Ferrari 330 to the gym this morning and the car park was hammered, very easy for someone to open a car door into the side of mine. Does that stop me from taking it though? No because it’s just a car. I put my bulldogs in my Rolls Royce or my GTC4 Lusso, why? Because I love my dogs and it’s just a car!!!!
And I hate the lies too on these channels. It’s making kids grow up to believe in a fallacy. Mr JWW got about 100k-200k views on a video about him driving a Porsche CGT, with lots of people thinking he would probably buy it.
That was my car, I’d bought it yet hadn’t picked it up for a long time. He shouldn’t have been driving it. We are speaking to the next generation of workers and car buyers. Thinking they can afford a Lamborghini by posting videos of cars on YouTube is crazy. That media is saturated now. You know what I’ll stop now because I’ll end up going on a mad rant.

Really? Ouch jon- said:
I agree, who buys a CGT and then leaves it in the garage. It's one of the few cars in the world I'd trade body parts for
I just couldn’t find the time to get over to pick it up, then it needed a new clutch so it went off to Porsche Reading to get that done, after that I said sod it just deliver it. ashleyman said:
Why was JWW driving your car if you hadn't authorised it?
Surely thats on the supplying dealer and not the YouTuber. Doesn't excuse what he said about buying it but if he had been lead to believe it was still for sale then of course you'd say those things?
Because they care more about YouTube influencers than their customers. I used to deal with Redline a lot, bought a fair amount of cars off them but it all went downhill after they started getting too media hungry with these YouTubers. They let me and my brothers down with three 991 gt2 rs’
Had to get them elsewhere. Then they messed me about with my Zagato, once again had to buy it from elsewhere. The final straw was the Ford GT, but I’m kind of glad about that as I think it’s an ugly car and I’m not a V6 fan anyway. It just started to get annoying when Dean would be all over Gaz from the Gordie Show or that Archie lad, doing videos and day trips out, all for views and PR, but wouldn’t phone back the actual customers like me that has the means to buy the cars. I’ll never understand it.
That's not unique to the YT generation.
I know someone who had a unique E-Type and sold it about 12 years ago. They were not at all pleased when they saw their car on the cover of a magazine being driven round a track, before the money was even in their account (so it was almost certainly driven before sold) - and didn't help the article bashed the way they had chosen to restore the car.
That was with JD Classics, from memory.
I am a million miles from Senna or 250 ownership but anybody who has ever asked for a ride in one of my cars I usually oblige, its the best part of owning them for me.

That’s appalling. It’s things like this why JD Classics probably went bust, that and stealing customers money haha. I know someone who had a unique E-Type and sold it about 12 years ago. I’ve just heard something similar about Prindiville, that they’ve gone into Admin and they’ve got people’s money that they never have to them from S.O.R cars, whether that’s true or not.

I'm with you almost all of the way on this Pete.
My only push back would be on the volume of videos that surround a purchase, normally its:
'Should I buy' - 10x examples for various cars
'I've bought' announcement video
'My spec' announcement video
'Collection' video
Taking it to Topaz' video
'First drive' video
'Mcdonalds drive through' video
Etc.. etc..
From a business model perspective, they need a return on their investment (I am not teaching you to suck eggs, I know your background). But getting 10-15 videos out of a purchasing experience is much better for their 'business' that just one collection video and drive video.
Regardless of our moans and groans on PH about these guys... they run a business and the more videos they produce, the more money they make.
