Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc? (Vol 2)

He uploads for adsense money so he can finance a SVJ. Poor lad feels left out that all the SV owners have moved on to the SVJ and he's still rolling around in a second hand SV and trying hard everyday to convince himself the SV is still relevant. .... Chaos

Do you really believe that? Or just playing to the crowd?Criticism doesn't automatically equate to jealousy though does it? I don't usually watch much from chaos & co but that tacky lambo video does appear to be the epitome of the 'super duper car youtube' thing, with plenty of 'look at me and my vulgar displays of wealth' as I race between traffic lights in the west end of London. It's hardly surprising that it attracts as much 'dislike' as 'like' but that's the point I guess? It's all about image and how they're perceived online.
On a personal note, whilst I never much cared for Schmee's content and the whole 'schquad' thing, at least the guy gets out there and drives the things. I did wonder if the herds of children running to the call of the aftermarket exhaust, phones in hand and excited grins, may die out but it seems to remain as popular as ever. Do find it a bit odd when you see the ''youtuber'' stands at car shows though.
I still don't see the harm in giving opinions (good & bad) here though, so long at there's nothing personal.

I couldn’t agree with this more. On a personal note, whilst I never much cared for Schmee's content and the whole 'schquad' thing, at least the guy gets out there and drives the things. I had hoped all this sort of stuff was a fad and passed, but as each month/year goes by it’s now seemingly part of life and what the younger generation want. Instagram is littered with these people and it’s growth is down to an aspiration of their life (which ironically is false and full of lies) rather than the cars, and that further breeds more of these people starting new channels.
JE/TGE presenting in the lambo video, all the young people chasing super cars around London with their go pros, Archie Hamilton, SOL etc etc etc I just find it all very tragic, but maybe that’s because I’m now ‘old’ (41) and not in the majority.
Life has changed and a new generation is here, and it’s very different to what it was like when I was that age. Perhaps it’s what 40 year olds were thinking when the Max Power generation was around, it’s highly likely.
I decided that there’s no point getting dismayed about it, I just ignore and seek out my own content.
There was an episode of Extra Gear recently that illustrated everything in context. Henry Catchpole and Paul Wallace were the guests. IMO Paul was cluelessly embarrassing and showed up the new generation for everything that most on here seem to dislike, but I would wager the younger viewers probably thought the same about Henry.
Times are changing folks, we need to accept it.

I saw that video suggested on my Youtube account, I didn't watch it as it's not interesting for me. It just seems that every time there is a TGE video we get a load of posts slagging him off and saying "chaos, lad, chaos". It's a good thread which I enjoy reading it but the TGE bashing is getting old.On a personal note, whilst I never much cared for Schmee's content and the whole 'schquad' thing, at least the guy gets out there and drives the things. For the record, I don't mind him, I don't watch many but he seems likeable and he's not taking himself that seriously. His videos are largely about nothing whatsoever, he acknowledges that, even jokes about it. You know what you'll get before you watch one of his videos. No point watching them and then bhing about why he's not going on big European road trips. It's not what his channel is about, there are others for that.

It was rubbish, but from the comments his fans lapped it up and lots of positive words for Lotus so job done? I guess this is why I don’t have a career in PR!.... Chaos

Not my usual watch, but the Lotus content made it appear on my suggestions.
The comments make me laugh, he certainly is popular. Suppose it's good exposure for Lotus.

Absolutely, criticism is welcomed. However KHK’s post isn’t criticism, it’s baseless rumourmongering and just comes across as the bitter ramblings of someone who is envious. Which is odd as I know KHK is doing fine for himself. I pop on this thread to see the odd post from Tim that gives us an interesting insight into the Youtube game, however I have to wade through a lot of replies that seem a bit... childish. If you don't have anything good (or at least constructive) to say about a Youtuber or their content I'd suggest saving yourself some time by not bothering to type it out.

It's known as constructive criticism.Or is everybody supposed to " like" everything ?
I didn't mind TGE at first but his troll like behaviour outside of YT has turned me off. He's always commenting and making back handed comments on random posts on IG. I posted about a incident last year where he really pissed off a guy in the US who owns a P1 and a few other Mclarens because TGE decided it would be funny to post offensive comments about Mclaren on this owners account. The owner didn't follow TGE and had no idea who he was, TGE didn't back off until the owner called him out on IG.
For a guy that owns so many nice cars and seems like he's living the life I don't know why he's bitter and finds the need to troll and piss people off. I personally don't think he does it for the views or likes, I genuinely think he's bitter he's had to work hard for his life which he deserves credit for but he gets mad when he assumes other people are funded by daddy and starts his trolling rampage.

It's strange how you all dislike him but watch every second of every video so you can slag him off on here. Just watch something else and spare us the jealousy.
I'm sure you're thinking of envy rather than jealousy but semantics aside, it's car-crash TV; a staple diet of viewing habits over the last 30 years. I must admit, it's an unusual feeling to watch someone take delivery of a crystal-encrusted Lamborghini and all I can think is 'loser'.Rawwr said:

If you watch the video then slag it off it doesn't matter because you've played you've watched the video which is the most valuable thing , who cares if some random person from the internet doesn't like you as long as you keep watching the vids.

This does amuse me. I have to confess I’m in a WhatsApp Group which includes TGE and he seems quite a nice chilled guy. And I’m sure he’s laughing that he’s getting views from people who are only watching so that they can come on here to moan If you watch the video then slag it off it doesn't matter because you've played you've watched the video which is the most valuable thing , who cares if some random person from the internet doesn't like you as long as you keep watching the vids.
