Gone off YT vids recently but the latest Supercardriver vid of their newly acquired E92 M3 sparked my interest. Very nicely put together video with some nice spirited driving and great camera shots.
Look forward to seeing what they do with the car.
I enjoyed that too when I watched it the other day. I think YT is brilliant for car stuff. Gone off YT vids recently but the latest Supercardriver vid of their newly acquired E92 M3 sparked my interest. Very nicely put together video with some nice spirited driving and great camera shots.

I've noticed Emma Walsh has drifted away from YouTube recently, instead concentrating on Instagram TV - or IGTV as it's known.
I know she leans more towards the lifestyle vlogger camp, but I wasn't aware videos on Instagram could be monetised, or is it just a case of relying on brand sponsorship to get paid for content?

- I went off Jayemm sometime ago because I felt he was too biased in favour of his Evora. There were lots of comparison videos but it always seemed to end up concluding that the Evora was best. So i gave up and moved on.
Oh you'll be needing to drive an Evora to see he wasn't wrong. He wasn't sponsored it's just an extraordinarily good car. That nobody buys. Apart from me. If you drew a list of manufacturers that might have given me nice things, said nice stuff, or done something that could have influenced my opinion in any way shape or form, Lotus would be squarely at the bottom of the list.
Every word I said about the Evora I believe, good and bad. I didn't say nice things because I bought one - I bought one because I was simply blown away.
There is more Lotus content coming from me very soon, it has not been easy to get it made.

SOL seems to think that 20% of £332k is £100k in his ‘Financing a Lusso’ video.
Apparently whoever buys a £332k Ferrari is happy to put £100k in of their own money and lose it. From other videos it seems you'd be closer to £70k with Ferrari. It's still shocking depreciation though.Jez m said:

Enjoyed that but I do have a big soft spot for these. Gone off YT vids recently but the latest Supercardriver vid of their newly acquired E92 M3 sparked my interest. Very nicely put together video with some nice spirited driving and great camera shots.

Looks like I’m the only one who watched the second Jay Emm R8 video

Will be the latter i think. My missus can get paid up to £1k for a single post and more if she does a few insta stories on the products etc.I know she leans more towards the lifestyle vlogger camp, but I wasn't aware videos on Instagram could be monetised, or is it just a case of relying on brand sponsorship to get paid for content?

4 seat Ferrari's have historically always had terrible depreciation.jayemm89 said:
I also find it curious - my R8 Gt vs LMX videos is one of my poorest performing videos of late, despite it containing some properly rare and exotic machinery.
For me, the R8 has been covered to death by every reviewer going, and personally speaking, the car just doesn't do it for me.Dave Hedgehog said:
Mr JWWWWWWW needs to kick his editor 24 mins? so much repetition and rambling, 10 mins of content max really
I believe YouTube value videos now on minutes watched rather than views? Hence videos getting much longer recently. May be wrong but pretty sure I read that.

Not quite, but close.May be wrong but pretty sure I read that.
Back in July 2015, YouTube became all about retention time, so you'll have seen then that the vast majority of car YouTubers quickly changed from 3-4 minute videos into 10+ of length.
There are constant minor changes to the algorithms but in April of this year there was a larger one that became more a combination of %age viewed of a video and the retention time; of course the ultimate goal being a long video that people watch all the way through. If you make a long video but the average only watches 20% of it then that's destined to be held back from much promotion by the algorithms.
But even this isn't all of it, the algorithms are so immensely complex and the purpose is that they change them regularly enough that nobody fully understands how they work.
