I watched that last night... what was with the constant outbursts of ‘money’ and ‘cash’? Sounded like the guy has Tourette’s. And at the end he couldn’t even drive it away as it had to be loaded onto a lorry to be sent off for some work somewhere?! What a complete farce of a video.

Good for him.

On that last video he asked him if the noise coming from the back on acceleration was the exhaust.

I guess the moral of the story is that you don't need to make technically good content, just entertaining content.

I agree. If you want technically good content, that's out there too.

I unsubscribed after the interview with the dubious investor bloke but youtube suggested the Fiesta video to me.

Excited to see LLF covering a Fiesta Super Sport as something I used to lust over as a new driver. Excitement dropped after 5 minutes of him showing a complete lack of knowledge "did they have those little holes in the wheels?". rolleyes
I don't like most of his videos as it's all a bit London init bruv and all that. Then he did that horrendous wrap on his M4 and I thought he's lost the plot. Every now and then he'll appear on my home screen and I'll take a look if the car is interesting enough. I also used to really love the super sports back in the day so watched the video. The least he could do if he has so little knowledge of the older cars is do a bit of research before turning up. He doesn't come across well.

Yep, very lazy. He didn't even know an XR2 existed!

Was also disappointed with the Super Sport itself as it isn't really a Super Sport at all (totally different engine, wheels etc.)

As someone who owned a Supersport, it seemed that the owner was not that knowledgeable about them either.

Those two are everything thats bad about Youtubers. It's a race to the bottom on content and doubling up on events means any value brought is halved and continually divided down.

Next thing we know the 'Ten things I hate about my Ferrari' routine will be 'Five things I hate about my Ferrari part 1..'
Or, "Ten Things I hate about Tom's Ferrari" - don't forget to plug a watch or some software I'll never need to help fill up the 12 minutes, and also to call it an 'epic video' at the outset biggrin

Quick synopsis of SOL's "Car Shopping in Dubai (Pt 2)" - Final day in Dubai, nothing bought, looks at Veneno that is under offer, flies home, cold start ruined by Brexit news on radio, talks about going to VVS instead wobble I think import charges won't make it seem such a bargain. plus, wheel on wrong side, unless you take it to Europe a lot, will be annoying i.e barriers in car parks, toll roads etc. International Tyre Kicking is completed. It seems the i30N is gone, as he brags of his 'garage' of two rentals with another to come (and NO59MOT being painted) rolleyes

I must admit I have a soft spot for SOL. He is like a lost puppy, running on empty but still trying to hold on to his dream.

He isn't anywhere near as obnoxious as TGE and Archie and comes across as a bit of a child in a big man's world. He has been thoroughly outclassed by Tim and the Yank Youtubers and I feel like he hasn't a clue how to get out of the hole.

Haven't commented on this thread before but in the pursuit of "churning videos", have these automotive youtubers completely lost their way in recent months. Fair enough the hateful Archie and Tom have never produced quality over quantity, but others are falling for the same easy routes to views too and the content is suffering greatly, for us all!

Prompted by Paul of SOL's truly terrible guide to buying a supercar in Dubai that opened with a 10 minute series and concluded in part 2 with a 1 minute summary thinking he needs to research a bit, geez, put some effort in to the project, don't just jump on a plane and spend literally more time in the air than on the ground! QueenB's trip to Japan for, well, nothing was equally as bad!

Shmee manages to remain consistency on daily uploads that others can't compete with, so why can't they upload once or twice a week with at least something palatable.

Putting aside the privileged upbringing most of these guys have, the only one I see improving is Sam of seen through glass; his USA adventure has been a triumph imo, especially as he's up against Tim on similar content and has made it his own.

I feel the industry is getting a kicking by some of these jokers. More content like Sam, Jonnie from his electrical car channel and Harry Catchpole please.

Maybe I'm alone!

That zetec turbo engine must also be just a cover, still a 1.3 on the log book.

You're not alone.

Timmy is utter ste, like some homologated character from a poor episode of Harry Enfield.

The only channels worth the view and our precious time, are; STG, Carfection, Pistonheads, Petrolicious, Harry's Garage, Harry's Farm. Lovecars (sometimes), Fully Charged, The Car Guys, Smith and Sniff and carwow (somtimes). The rest, of millennial spawn, think the world believes or is interested in their ste, we don't... and as for sodding Insta-whatever-the-fk-that-is-gram... don't get me started you utter vacuous twunts.

Hope it feels good to get that off your chest!

Fortunately there are a lot of people on this planet and many of them have differing opinions to yours.
