Whatever you think of Shmee, you have to give him credit for using his cars and for allowing that to happen.
Great video, some awesome shots of the GT shredding those tyres!
I've just signed up for a 540i xDrive so I watched an old Shmee video where he is in Spain reviewing the 5 series and I was pretty impressed. It was long, informative and he spent a lot of time detailing and demonstrating everything. A lot effort went into the whole thing. I then watched LLF getting a passenger ride in an M240i. This thing was getting ragged all over the place with Ricky using lots of "man, fast, woh, sick man"... Like him or not, Shmee is a lot more polished.
I know there are some on here who relish hating shmee and constantly reminding everyone that they do so. But, he's in a totally different league to dangerous bellends like LFF. He actually knows the cars, he's smart and articulate, he's puts effort into his reviews, his camera shots etc and works hard. And personally I feel like his content just gets better all the time and I couldn't stand watching him a few years back.

LLF is a totally unwatchable moron. "Yeah bruv, man like Ricky driving sick carz innit" all the time with his stupid one-handed leaning serious-face driving style. It's dreadful.

It was inevitable that this was going to happen, but I am surprised it happened to him and because of that video. I suspect it was the road's notoriety that did not help

Yep, this one popped up as suggested to me, didnt see who it was and as usual it involves ridiculous speed, but its ok as Tom, the owner is a racing driver, yeah as going round a circuit qualifies you for 100 mph plus down country lanes showing off.

LLF is going to end up in a whole lot of st at some point, if Joe Achilles can get nicked for the R8 video then LLF's back catalog probably includes enough incriminating stuff to be very uncomfortable.

Dont want to see that, just dont want to see such risky behaviour on the road, lots of comments suggest they lap it up and anyone who suggests its not a great idea gets shouted down.

Journos etc have proper circuits and closed roads, there are broadcasting standards and rules around what can be shown, where Youtube is like the wild west.

Do these people really think no one can work out the speeds? Same as those who blur the speedos I their videos!
Seems this news is hitting the popular news outlets, just saw it on the BBC. I have met Joe, he seemed like a really nice bloke and believe he owns a chauffeuring business. Bit silly to have filmed it and posted it, seemed to be a fair few cars on the road too..

I don't watch any TGE stuff but still can't get away from him.

Every advert on Twitter or Instagram for a supercar that is blue or has stripes on it just gets littered with posts tagging him with comments of 'TGE Spec' or 'Get it bought Lad!' 'Would look CHAOS next to the Pistsa' etc.

I couldn't agree more. Also the cringe-worthy lot who call everyone 'lad'. But I've come to realise that people (presumably 14 year old boys) like it.

I've now found the 'don't recommend this channel' button on youtube which has really helped keep those tracksuits off my screen.

So it seemed to be suggested that Joe's speed was 65 with the video speeded up to make it look a lot faster. Could that be right? If so isn't 6 points far too high? Has anyone read or watched enough to know more? I have met Joe and consider him sensible and responsible - his mistake to post the video but unfortunate for him to be the one to be prosecuted for a video.

I'm surprised Joe didn't get a ban. Is snake pass still 60mph? Thought it was down to 50mph now and given they said he was driving around 93mph.

Plenty of his videos show him wringing cars out for the first few gears - given what he's driving (M5s etc) it's quite clear he's getting a move on! That being said his spirited driving does seem more considered than a lot out there. DMO and LLF well I'm surprised the boys in blue haven't caught up with them.

50mph according to ITV.

I can’t imagine it’s difficult for a professional to determine if a video has been sped up or not.

PS I am confident that he would have been banned if he was doing 93. Atrocious journalism that the uncorrected speed is reported.

Nearly every DVD you ever watched was sped up and you probably never noticed

I’m not a professional. Hence I have no idea what you are on about.

Yeah, thats true, they use spotters and cars to confirm the way is clear, then dont show any lawbreaking, thats where the amateurs struggle.

“At nearly 100mph” comes from the Derbyshire Police (surely the police wouldn’t lie to us?!?). They also provide the detail that Joe was travelling at 93mph at one point.

Clearly haven't seen much of his driving: time and a place!

I'm not quite sure why the police think it is suitable to put Joe's home address into the public domain? That seems rather unnecessary.

When you are in court, hearings in which are held in public, as defendent/offender your address is given out.
