- always been full of his own self-importance. What a total frigger. Disgraceful attitude towards the media, or, does the fact that he wasn't included on the 'influencer' list a few weeks back mean he's taken his rounders bat and ball home to play on his own...? Probably. Can't even take a phone call interview! Absolute ste.
Fair play to you Tim

Only on PH can someone be derided for not wanting / not having time to give an interview. Frankly the person who wrote the article as shown the maturity level of the average PHer and I am sure will have pretty much ensured that Tim will not give her time of day at all moving forwards.
F2 DDY, can I suggest you watch this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEHn1klnIpg as it seems that you have some severe anger issues if you're getting this triggered over what people choose to do and how they live their life.

If I was in Tim's position, I'd just be somewhat thankful that I wasn't associated in any way by the article with "Supercar Blondie"...
I don't get the hate for her. She is a paid actress, selling a product for someone. No different than the vast majority of YouTube car content creators. She, and most of the others, are not journalists, are not going to independently review a car and are never going to say anything negative about the product they are selling. It's no different than a musician or actor advertising a product on TV or YouTube. While there are a few YouTube personalities I dislike and never watch, some are entertaining while selling their product and are worth a quick watch. If I want proper journalistic content though, I'd watch Matt Watson rather than someone like Shmee or Supercar Blondie.
I felt she was using the 6 month point to highlight how busy YouTubers are as she followed on from how much time it took to create content, edit etc. Not sure this was to make anyone sound rude or too big.
Not sure if the round face is a dig or could just be a joke as she mentioned people with silver hair a couple of times too.
Basically its a none story in my eyes but people reading too much into the article. Thanks for drawing my attention to the article though. I use Bloomberg all day and didn't know there was car article content on it.

Something I learned quickly, and the hard way, in film.
Fault =/= Responsibility
As an aside to all the hating, I was looking around for 5 series videos as I've just got a G30 and came across your E39 M5 video. Really enjoyed the content. A good insight into what it would be like to run one today. My old boss got one new when they first came out and I was smitten but things move on. good to see it still delivered charm and yet has the power to still be fast in today's world of hyper hatches and big power saloons.Fault =/= Responsibility

Tim really enjoyed the GT2/3 vid, nice to see how much your driving has improved, very impressive
I agree, I watch a few of Tim’s videos but this one I really did enjoy. It showed the gulf between the GT2 and GT3 performance (though I suspect a few more laps in the GT3 might have improved the lap time somewhat), obviously the power is a big factor but it seemed the GT2 cornering speeds were also significantly higher, which I didn’t expect. It looked to be a good track to give confidence to push really hard (not the close barriers of the Nordschleife for example).Earthdweller said:

Oooh, Harry is doing a Ford GT. That's my evening's entertainment sorted
Indeed it was excellent!Just watched your Z4m review ... enjoyable and pretty spot on
You ought to try one back to back with an Si as many feel the Si is a better more useable car than the M
That would be an interesting comparison
Keep em coming, really enjoying the vids .. the M series has been excellent
Thanks for the kind words as always guys. I was very lucky in getting the Z3MC/E39/Z4MC all together.
Recently I have been experimenting with "theme weeks" and I'm going to continue doing it where possible.
I've got a huge amount of content filmed but not released, and if the next week or so goes to plan, I'm actually going to make December a bit of a celebration of British brands - I have three weeks of content, each one dedicated to a famous British marque, with some special guest appearances.

The recent Hubnut videos are brilliant. He is going global. Instead of begging a Porsche, he flies around the world and we are presented with a Mk1 Citroen BX he will be driving across New Zealand. Absolutely agree. There are very few truly worthy channels at present. Here's to the rise of sense and non-privilege and the demise of un-earned-wealth vacuousness.

Everyone is welcome to watch what they like. I couldn't stand more than 10 seconds of that due to the god awful production quality. It doesn't take 4 seconds to stabilize and expose a gopro properly.Absolutely agree. There are very few truly worthy channels at present. These journalists want clicks on their articles as much as Youtubers want views on their videos. I must have read hundreds of articles like that one, all waffling on about the same thing over and over again as if it's something new and revolutionary and hasn't been happening for the past 10 years. I don't blame Tim at all for not putting this at the top of his priority list (or anywhere on that list for that matter).

It makes you wonder how anyone has the time to eat if they can't find 10 minutes in their schedule to take a call.
Do food vlogs then get paid to eat Not car related, but travel related. I came across this couple on YT who do travel videos and I got watching. They're 100% inoffensive, always happy and they make nice, nicely edited videos (nothing fancy, like maybe a "Casey Neistat-light" kind of look editing) with keywords well integrated without being click baity.
I thought it must be nice to do all this, I wonder how they do it. Then in a video they mentioned they've been travelling full time for 3.5 yrs!!! That definitely piqued my interest. So I went to do some sleuthing. Didn't need to look far because they have a website and every quarter they post up their accounts! Then I realised why they're always so damn happy.
So when they started, they sold their cars and their house to get going. They spent perhaps nearly a year losing money, but then very quickly its gone from dropping several grand every quarter, to pulling in $60-80k net profit per quarter. This comes from multiple sources: YouTube ad revenue (They're pretty steady at 5 million views a month or something), affiliate marketing income (so linking back to Amazon and Air Miles Credit Cards etc), Patreon supporters, Sponsor deals (which can be quite big! and so numerous they decline most of them), then they have their own products (a guide on how to play the free travel/air miles game, a guide on vlogging and recently a service for finding cheap/error fares).
That kinda blew my mind. They've sold their stake in the ground to go travelling, but it would seem that within 5 years they could be sitting on $1m in profits! That is some going!
They must spend inordinate time in airports, planning shots to capture interesting footage, editing hours of footage into 10 minute highlights, hunting around for cheap flights and playing the airmiles game. They get to see a lot of places but I wonder how much they actually see of a place given how much work they have to do in the background. Still, few more years of that and you can jack it all in, buy a new stake in the ground for cash and have a comfortable life knowing you've seen more of the world than 99% of people!
So it doesn't surprise me that Schmee didn't have time for a phone call!

Helps to be an early adopter. I think doing it from scratch with today being Day 1 would be a struggle regardless of Instagram algorithm knowledge and video editing skills - travel is way bigger than cars. thelostboy said:
