Isn't 'Superleggera' a bit Italian for a British marque? Wouldn't something like 'Superlight' be better fitting?
I was about to say, but it seems AM has used this moniker before. I think Caterham uses "superlight" as a model designation.Maybe we need a more British moniker, maybe a heavier version called "ate all the pies".

Are they actually going to be allowed to call this a Superleggera? I thought Ducati had the rights to that name and it's why Lamborghini has to use Performante now rather than Superleggera.
I'd be surprised if Ducati had any rights. Superleggera has been used across many brands for decades. I've even got a pair of shoes with superleggera soles Nightshade said:

Particularity ironic as Ferrari's latest is called the 812 Superfast! Though in keeping with the long line of things that sound cooler in Italian... quattroporteI've been lucky enough to drive a DB6 Superleggera and it felt more like a superPieEater, but it certainly turned heads and made you feel special.
Superleggera is a trademark owned by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera s.r.l., the modern incarnation of the firm that patented the system in 1936.

I am surprised that Aston Martin would use the 'Superleggera' name for one of its cars. It's all rather Italian and Ferrari/Lambo related, can they not think of more suitable English word?
It has historic ties to AM....but I can't see this car being lightweight and thus an appropriate use.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
