Well if you have a car that loses traction at idle then that’s probably the case.
That would be a traction issue not a power issue
Don’t go there; it’s a slippery slope. getmecoat

I had a do in an F10 M5 and I that woke me up. Trying to spin the rear wheels at 100mph, I wasn’t a fan.

Growing up the family bus was a Zafira Gsi. Dad spent a fortune modifying it, was the first "stage 4" zafira gsi that Courtney Sport did, so north of 360bhp on a hybrid turbo. Without an LSD and std suspension it used to wander all over over the road in any gear, torque steer was just ridiculous. Plant it in 3rd and you'd get the fronts just pouring with smoke. Couldn't hit boost in the wet because it was just wheelspin lol. Now my dad's owned some special cars, rally cars, 2 evos with one 500bhp+ anti lag etc, but all my mates still say the Zafira was the best. It was just so ridiculous at the time, pushing e46 M3's out the way at 150mph with 7 people in it laugh

Ok so let’s say it produced 500bhp at 900rpm ie idle is that level of power too much or you’d say no 1,000bhp at idle wouldn’t be an issue. It would as it would be undrivable

It's all down to how it drives and how power is delivered.
+1

With the appropriate tune, and assuming that gearing and suspension are well sorted, any outcomes are more about you and the road conditions. And not really the car.

Not too fast but the engine was too powerful for the chassis. 2016 SL63 AMG. Took it in part-ex on a GTC Speed, fortunately sold it a week later. Terrible, nasty, cheap feeling car.

Yes, probably. But the time it takes for the TVR to get into silly figures and jail time speeds is not much at all.. And the worst part is that it doesn't feel as fast as you are going....

I have a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack. The factory wheel/tyre package is totally inadequate (245/45/20 on a 20"x9" wheel) for the torque and horsepower that the 392 hemi makes.

315/35/20 on 20"x10.5" Factory Reproduction wheel is the answer and fits without rubbing, but is an expensive upgrade for the woeful OEM wheels/tyres.

Never been a car yet with "too much power"

It's all down to the ability of the driver to understand that the throttle and brakes are not binary.

I have had some of my scariest moments in the lowest powered cars.

Not if they sorted the chassis/handling. I'd imagine it would be amazing if that was the case

Electronic Driver Aids.

These days cars have more driving aids so you can get the power down and control it.

Cars without assistance are generally more of a handfull.

I drove an Ariel Atom Supercharged on a wet track recently, it's one of the few cars that I never really felt in control of.
