At a congested roundabout, I misjudged traffic flow, which halted, and blocked the lane to my right. Couldn't go fwd, couldn't reverse. Golf hurtles around, and brakes just short. Proceeds with a brilliant mime show, with sound effects. I sit quietly, although embarrassed,. and ready to admit blunder. Youth gets out of Golf and starts to bound over. Until my boxer starts serious, serious snarling. Must have heard it outside! Realises he has to get home in one piece, and swiftly retreats.

I had a clown try to force me off the road is his new Range Rover today because the skill of merge and weave had eluded him . Total end of c..k but I did mange to remain calm

You just never know what is waiting for you some mornings
I had exactly the same thing this morning, with a duet of tts in JLR products. Some gammon faced in his F-Pace (95% sure it had an ebay Brexit-spec leaper added to it too for full ishness) and, I'm presuming his fat-arsed wife in the six-year old Range Rover Evoque behind who, jointly, took umbridge at anyone using a merge-in-turn correctly. They thought they'd self-police the road and block both lanes with a rolling road block, sitting on the white line, before attempting a side swipe as I used the sizeable gap that still existed. This is then followed by the chode in the F-Pace putting his foot down to try and close the gap he'd created in attempting to back people up.

If they had any common sense in executing their plan, then they'd have driven side by side to properly block the road, but there we go...

You can get as annoyed and mad as you like and still avoid road rage, you cross the line when you want to tell the other person how annoyed and mad you are.

Take a shopping trip to a local supermarket, masses of people in the main being very annoying with people getting in each others way, however the response is, I'm sorry after you...No please after you, no I insist you go first, (inside you may well be thinking you daft old bat but you keep it to yourself) but when those same people get in the car it turns into fk you! No fk you! I insist go fk yourself!

Drive your car like you're walking down the street or out shopping and 99% of the nonsense will stop.

Not sure that's a good example. It's game on at checkout time. If it's a long and slow queue and the checkout bod is chatting far too much to Dorris as though they have all the time in the world. Then at time to pay Dorris hunts in her bag for 2 mins for her card and vouchers then checks them all.

The worst supermarket incident was when i was 2-3 trolleys back, in line and i ran off to grab something. I was max, 1 minute and there was still a full trolley in front. BUT some asshole had jumped my trolley. It was too late to move his trolley as he and his lady friend had layed out all of their purchases but i did ask them why they moved my trolley and i did tell them it's a very rude thing to do. Jumping a trolley is only ok if they've left the scene and their trolley is ready to be scanned smile
It's a perfect example, we all manage to mill around and forgive each other for little transgressions (or at least keep our annoyance to ourselves which is the main thing) whilst not surrounded by the protective barrier of a car, but when people get in a car all of sudden everything goes the other way.

Fair point but without telling someone about their driving I only have to hope the c**t gets caught by the police doing such dangerous manoeuvres in future.
And that's the point, I get as annoyed as anyone at the fkwittery, hell I even annoy myself so what chance does anyone else have? But I don't blast my horn, flash my lights or offer anyone coffee beans.

I just adjust my driving and get on with it.

Oh no... Oh no no no!

Leaving your trolley unattended at the checkout to go and collect more shopping is the equivalent of stopping at a busy junction in your car, spotting a corner shop and deciding to just get out and buy a newspaper "because the light's on red".

I've not yet punched anyone for doing this, however I have been known to glare AND tut at people for doing this (but only when they aren't looking). Once I let out a loud sigh and rolled my eyes after someone decided they didn't like the thing they DID have so had gone to swap it with one they didn't.

must be JLR twunts day.

As i zipped over an island ahead of some blue evoque or whatever Landy it was, where he appeared to be going straight over originally, he decides that he wants to take the 3rd exit now and follow me to "put me in my place" for not braking and waiting for him who was batting it in the first place . so after the island you can see him winding his chelsea boat up and on a wave of torque mr JLR goes for the overtake on the straight (30 limit mind urban area) and of course rather than gently bringing his car back in over some distance he yanks the wheel left almost like saying he wants to remove a layer of paint from my front bumper offside...............my reaction? play it cool son.........

oh look, right after he did the churlish overtake heres my petrol station on the left.......how convenient. bye bye tool end. what a waste of his energy and increased heart rate that move was....... come trumpet.

1.why didn’t you immediately admit the blunder/apologise for being in the wrong.
2. How do you know he wasn’t checking you hadn’t had a heart attacketc.
3. On what planet do you think that what you didn’t wasn’t due an immediate apology to everyone around you?

He was bouncing up and down with rage. Judging his mood to be bordering on the insane I kept the doors locked. I was hardly going to get out, but luckily he was deterred.

You must either live in a ghetto where people push you off the path on a regular basis, or you don’t like people criticising your poor driving.

Either way, you come across as someone who needs therapy.

Get out?
Why do you need to get out to apologise for doing something really bad that definitely needed an apology. You only have to hold up your hand and mouth sorry:

I’ll be totally honest. Your attitude in this situation stinks.

They do seem to be out at the moment - I wonder if it's a requirement of JLR purchase at the moment to filter out normality and let twuntichness dominate - very concerning

I was working in Thailand, young, daft and immortal.

I was cut up by a pickup twice going through road works, in the second time I wound my window down and stuck my finger up at him and carried on driving.

Shortly after he pulled up alongside me and held a gun up for me to see, not pointed at me, just side on to show me, he then blasted his horn and drove off.

Life is cheap there.

On a long motorway journey today, I upset two people, unusually. Both my fault, really. First one, I was in lane one, moved to lane two, went to move into lane 3 and got beeped by someone in my blind spot. I wish I had a rear facing dash cam because I have literally no idea where they came from. I checked my mirrors and didn’t see them, which is understandable for the last move, but I don’t understand why I didn’t see them before. Should have done a lifesaver. Mea culpa.

Second incident was at the M55 exit off the M6. Traffic was queuing in lane 1 for the exit. I joined the queue. At the point where lane 1 splits into two for the exit, I took lane 2 at the same time that someone tried to join it from the M6. I’m not entirely sure that someone joining a splitting lane from the right has priority over traffic in the lane that is splitting, but I should have observed and anticipated it. Anyway, they were clearly very annoyed about it.

Disturbing to have two incidents like that on one day, even on a six hour drive. I will learn from both.

He probably bought it after getting too many kickings for driving like a tt.

I've always assumed that if a lane splits into 2 like that, the car already in the lane has priority - after all they're not really changing lane. Of course it's best to check mirrors when doing so just in case. Either way, the car that got annoyed with you clearly did a stupid thing and was more than likely queue jumping.
