Mgf been dailying an r reg one for the last few months in a nice blue color. Build quality not as bad as other rover's iv'e had zr zs etc.

Apparently was the best selling roadster in the uk for a long time

In fact in that time iv'e not seen a car older than about 52 plate.

I live in derby which is a crap town and most people are driving round in new cars. Some very expensive ones at that

To be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw any Fiat on the road that wasn't a 500 or variation of.

I bought a Rover 45 at new year, as daily to keep my VXR off the road.

Ironically its great fun so has now become my project car - going out tomorrow to swap in some MGTF cams and fit a kmaps ECU!

I see it often because it’s mine but I don’t see any others.
True, I used to really like these, but they seem such a quirky concept now. I bet it is supremely comfy!

A guy down the road from me has 2! And I saw a yellow one today too. They’re certainly rare now, they were everywhere in the early 2000’s!

Mk5 Golf TSI & TDI seem to have started to thin out! Only tend to see the odd GTI now and very rarely, an R32.

Is it a 2004 facelift one? I heard the later ones changed to sharing the suspension of the ZS as a cost saving measure, and those drive brilliantly.

By all accounts it is going to become an SUV. If the reviews of the new Puma are anything to go by, that may be no bad thing!

20 years ago my mum had a 1.6 MK2 Rover 400, which I drove a fair bit. To this day, I maintain that from a handling perspective it's one of the most criminally underrated cars out there.

It was set up for a comfortable ride, meaning the chosen springs produced comical levels of body roll when pressing on hard. However, it had a beautifully balanced chassis and is one of the most neutral FWD cars I've ever driven. The limit handling was more predictable and progressive than the much vaunted MK1 Focus that replaced it, while having a superior ride.

People mistook the body roll and soft suspension for poor handling though rolleyes.
