Just checking in at Hawes. No Porsches were harmed in the making of this journey, but only because we didn’t see any.

We tend to travel quicker than the bikers so arrive and depart whilst they are looking for their helmet...so to speak.

So quick that you can’t be seen?

Almost.

Although a Carrera White blur quickly followed by a GT Silver flash was apparently sighted by some local earlier this morning just west of Bainbridge. driving

All I can add to this is that bikes are SO slow (doing the NC500), and generally ride in packs.

Why can't they ride alone? They'd be so much quicker.

Fed up having to overtake a bunch of 12 bikes in my wife's cheap Skoda (dog walking), which has sod all torque!

Just remembered I've had a few passenger laps in different Porsches years ago, one of them was really quick, it had a noisy gearbox and noisy brakes that worked very well.

It was all stripped out inside and had a roll cage.

No CD player and radio though which I thought was a bit cheap.

I find due to major insecurity issues they generally like the pack mentality and safety of a group.

And two bikers equals four wheels.

In fact the same as a car.

I know when I’m hooning over the mountain tomorrow, overtaking lines of cars, the last thing on my mind will be “what would this be like if I were driving a Porsche?”

Same experience really, except mine was on some old crappy raf base, Silverstone I think they called it. Every bend or corner we got to it was going sideways, didn’t crash, but awful traction and grip.
Crappy things them Porsche’s !

Bad drivers always tend to blame the car for their own inabilities.

Jeez this thread is still going! And the bikers are still congratulating each other with their heroic ridingsmile

Anyways, had a cracking drive on my way back from Llandudno last weekend. Lovely empty roads through South Wales in my old, slow 993 Porker. Not a biker to be seen anywhere... Guess they were so fast they were already home while I was still out there in my Porsche driving bliss biggrin

If you look closer you’ll see that it was the Porsche driver describing himself and a friend as blur and flash. The joke about being so fast they couldn’t be seen was already done by me yesterday.

I hope your driving is quicker than your wit.

I know I’m awesome, I’ve mentioned it several times already.

It’s a running joke in Biker Banter, before you take it too seriously
