He's already said he nearly stoved into the back of it. I'm not sure what more information is required.

Well you are a cheery bunch today.
I had been behind the guy for miles with no reason to think he would do anything stupid, he had been riding quite enthusiastically, very much not scared of the throttle and leaning and hanging off the bike around the longer sweepers.
I was a sensible safe distance behind the whole time, then we came to a proper corner. Considering his prior performance I was expecting him either just going in as he was or a slight lift and I was planning to follow him in at that speed but he hit the brakes hard and obviously reacting to that I lost a chunk of my safe gap, this is the exact reason I had left a gap, you know just in case. Had I not left the sensible gap or reacted quickly then I probably would have hit him. I genuinely can't see what you guys are having a problem with here?

Just to add, car has massively uprated brakes and very good tyres, no ABS though. Also as convenient as it may seem I did have a police driver with me, he is one of my best friends but we do give eachother stick if we do something stupid so he would have said if I was being a cock.
fair enough, i had the same happen with a mate when we were having a play one day down a local back road. it was early spring so still cold up here and it was damp under a patch of trees the bend in the road passed under. he got on the stoppers a bit more than i expected. i had left a reasonable gap as well, but it shrunk pretty quickly.

For me the most curious part is Plod in the passenger seat when I guess the speeds were, let's say, interesting smile
I mean I know it’s beyond the realms of possibility but hey maybe people could just believe me, what with me being there and all.

I’m assuming biker wanted to play as he overtook a number of cars behind me and I gave him room to pass and get on his way (I’m so lovely) as me and my mates were sticking together being out for a social drive, and we had a Range Rover holding everyone up. The bike had numerous opportunities to overtake the skyline and Range Rover and continue at his previous pace but stuck right on the back of the skyline until we changed roads and lost the Range Rover.
We all then went at a more entertaining speed (nothing too silly, so no police upset, he certainly goes a lot quicker at his day job and hey police are normal people too that enjoy normal things like cars outside of work. He has said along with a number of other family and friends that they feel safer with me driving than anyone else they get in a car with) until the biker did his thing.
I then realised he wasn’t as competent as I thought and I backed off twice as far. The whole time the biker was closer to the back end of the Skyline than I was to the biker, except for the over brake where the skyline buggered off and I got closer for a moment.
I assume I must be the only driver round here who isn’t telepathic? And so need some reaction time, which was considered and built into my safe following distance hence why I didn’t muller him when he braked hard unexpectedly. Definitely not racing, I didn’t bother trying to hassle him let alone overtake.
If he was brake testing me there it was a bit super stupid as if I had not been awake or capable of slowing then I would have punted him through a hedge and down a valley!

Gotta laugh at being called a chav though hehe apart from the Queen I’m about as far away from that as possible. I just happen to have a history of and like Subarus. Had them in the family since before they were cool let alone before they became chavvy
Elsewhere on PH people have said how nicely done and not chavvy mine is tongue out

I was with you until you stated ‘police are normal people too’

They’re about as normal as the police force, unless they’re your mates.

The comment about a chav is because if anyone mentions a Subaru Impreza to any Tom, Dick or Harry amd asks them to describe the driver, I’ll bet well over 90% would say “chav” in their answer. Whether you are one or not is moot, the stereotype is well engrained.

Chav isn’t even that bad, he should try having a GSXR for some seriously engrained stereotypes

This'll cheer you up: I'm thinking of ditching the Fireblade and the Africa Twin and replacing them with a Tech Black R1 smile

I'm not making excuses for the biker but being the vehicle in front of you he has the benefit of being able to see things you can't yet - for all you knew at the time he was stopping/slowing for a hazard.

The fact that you said in your original post that you nearly rolled through him means that your safe distance wasn't as safe as you thought it was smile

Except you didn’t laugh, as somebody reported the post as it’s now been removed.

Ridiculous.

There you go creating your own narrative again. I genuinely did have a laugh about the chav comment for the reason stated.

If a mod has removed your post then clearly it was against the rules of the site in some way which isn't mine or anyone else's fault.
