I wear a flat cap and proud of it.

I bought one this weekend for wearing in my roadster.
Only mildly feel like I look daft. Mainly when I go into a supermarket or something with it still on my head.
Problem with flat caps is that they can be deeply plebean as in Andy Capp or upper class twit as in The Hon Rupert Trumpington-Smythe. It partly depends on the style and quality of the cap. I’m keeping my options open as I hope I fit into neither category!Only mildly feel like I look daft. Mainly when I go into a supermarket or something with it still on my head.

Head wear of choice where I live, along with a Schoffel waistcoat and an Land Rover product of some sort, age irrelevant! You can get your ear defenders on over the top of them, you see!
Heck..and I was just pondering a Rangie Sport, ( not Overfinch, which would rule out the cap.)Edited by Lester H on Tuesday 1st May 21:23
You need several flat caps to enable this domestic dialogue after you have parked your LR. “ I’m goin back to t pub, I’ve left me cap”. “ You’ve got six caps”. “Ay, but that one’s me favourite”. It’s time I and the posters in doubt invested in flatties.
