Not true at all. There is a huge amount of excitement from within the WEC fan base around Alonso (only tainted by the Fuji fiasco, which he has no control over). the only time you'll see negativity is e.g.when a young single seat hotshoe rocks up to Daytona 24h and nearly has 3 accidents in the first hour through doing "do or die" moves. Even n then, the negativity is more "that's not how you win a 24h race".

All the social media i have seen is near universally positive re. Button at SMP.

Really? Is that really true?
I only ask, because it sounds like utter bks.

I've been going to LM for over a decade, and can't once recall a single negative word said about F1 drivers. If anything, it's been the opposite - where they have been welcomed with open arms.

Sometimes LM24 clashes with a F1 weekend ,usually Canada iirc ,so a current F1 driver racing at LM is a rarity.

Vettel and Kimi should turn up in a 488 superteam, with the 3rd driver an LM expert.

I somehow imagine Kimi would end up in a tribune with one of those two-can beer helmets on.
