What a PH hero! Both of you actually, car and driver beer
The car's a hero. I pretty much just sat there and steered it south...

Utterly fabulous story and trip. I do hope that other Knight, Sir Les, has noted all the good TVR PR you have generated. And some ammo for the cliched reaction to telling people you own a TVR. Great to hear how reliable it was and the ease of maintaining in foreign climes. My first Chimaera was a Kermit, sold to a mate, although currently residing back in my garage whilst he has his house (and garage) reconfigured! I replaced it with one in the notorious Rosso Pearl and so remain envious (green with envy?) of other colours available... Good luck with the Pub2Pub venture. Mark.
Thanks Mark.

Yeah, 'new' TVR are being very supportive of the whole escapade - it's good to see they appreciate the heritage models.

I think this has finally proven that it's the green ones which are best, right?! hehe

Winning photos, article and car. Excellent.
Across Vietnam on a 110cc Honda, brave lad.

I hated that bike. It broke down every single day; got itself named 'little b*stard'.

Given Honda's reputation for reliability, it would've been ironic if I didn't find out towards the end of the trip that it was, in fact, actually a Chinese knock off.

Good memories in hindsight though. Riding the twisty coastal road they rave about midway through the Top Gear Vietnam Special was an immense experience... having the handlebars come lose on the Ho Chi Minh trail, not so much...

If ever PH were to get into the business of dishing out knighthoods you, FiveTenBen, would be first in line to be acknowledged as a PH Hero.

Arise Sir Ben, you legend you. smile
Second this. As I sit in my office typing out this message, I have full admiration for chaps like Ben who go and pursue their dreams and adventures.

What a fantastic adventure.
It seems like that trip would have made a great documentary on NetFlix or something.
Hopefully one of the high profile YouTube celebs will sign up for Pub2Pub Adventures. Good publicity for TVR, and a chance for us lazy buggers to watch the adventures unfold.

A fantastic achievement - well done!

Like you, I bought the first TVR I saw...my Chimaera has had to have a fair amount chucked at it over the year I've owned it, however!
At least I knew about a few of the issues...I'd still say my gamble paid off. hehe

As you say - the noise alone is worth it!

Cheers, it's great to see that the journey is bringing out lots of positive stories about the happy reality of TVR ownership - long may they continue!

I would love one. Currently trying to get the garage sorted, aka, house purchase and I have been told the Westfield needs to work before I have another project however.... It's a double garage!

Whilst deciding to what to do over the weekend, I saw a flash of a TVR as my cursor swept over Two Bridges on Google maps.
