Would (Hypothetically of course) have this over the GT12 any day of the week. I didn't see a price, but I bet they aren't trying to charge £400k for it either.
You think they are asking more or less than 400k Paddy ?
Having re-read the article and looked at the numbers being produced, then maybe getting one for £400k would probably be a bit of a steal! eek

It’s the old sleek Vantage but a wide body , smoothed out with as little add ons as possible . We even removed as many shut lines as possible .
I will say what an amazing job you've made of it too! Thank you for seeing the old model out in such great style.

Now if you need someone to run around in a roadster for three or four years, to put some miles on it and demonstrate the amazing engineering and stunning looks of the car, I'd be happy to help out and possibly at no charge at all to Aston Martin for my PR work....

600 - The number of laws I would consider breaking in order to own possess one of these.

If you comment negatively about some new supercars, you get the inevitable response that you are just jealous and not the target audience. I can't afford this, I am probably not the target audience and I am jealous - it's still epic!

Anyone here got one on order? Where do you live... exactly? smile

Presumably if you don't make it ontp the list of 14 favoured customers, you could still get a V12S Manual and write a cheque to Bamford Rose (or whoever) for a few more HP. I'd be happy to leave the body alone - it's not like the stock car isn't good looking to start with.

It's a nice idea, but sadly you're out by several multiples... frown

Awesome bit of kit though... well and truly the last NA V12 manual!

It's a little too Khan for me - I am always suspicious that moody Press picture lighting is hiding the "in the daylight" flaws. As run-out specials go, I am sure this will be epic to drive but the trying-too-hard add-ons don't enhance the basic V12 Vantage design.
I am really surprised at the "Khan" and "trying to hard add ons" points .
This car has barely no add ons . If you look , there are no vents , wings , splitters , huge diffusers , contrast colours , in fact there aren’t even any side skirts ! We even removed the bonnet vents and replaced them with discrete holes .
It’s the old sleek Vantage but a wide body , smoothed out with as little add ons as possible . We even removed as many shut lines as possible .
The only "out there" detail is the AMR style grill shape with a unique finish to the actual grill and you can finish this as discretely as you wish .

I see your point and it's poor phraseology on my part. By add-ons I mean the design elements unique to this model - the drilled bonnet "vents" (hardly discreet) and even more horrifying grille. That grille is clearly a key styling element and that looks Khan or Dresden levels of aftermarket. Then again I think the whole AMR trim level and it's drilled holes and colour-flashes is trying far too hard so what do I know.

The 595bhp upgrade kit is available from Aston Martin - my MY16 V12 Vantage S had it fitted last year along with the titanium exhaust and AMi III infotainment upgrade, and it was I believe an option on the MY17 cars and standard fit on the run-out AMR models.
Its the GT12/Vanquish S spec, so magnesium intake manifolds (came in a nice Ilmor box), removal of the rear CATs and ECU flash.

No doubt these will go for mental money though.

Stunning, an effort that could only be British.

But where are all the "pointless showing a car no-one can actually buy" wingers...?? Or is that just reserved for Porsches?

What a swansong.
Shame they could not squeeze a reliable 27bhp.
Love the looks and a manual box too.

A bit more to it than just a power increase.

It’s stunning. And obviously I’d give my best mate’s right arm to own one. (Not my own arm. I’m not stupid.) But I’m not sure about the grill. Really would like to see a photo of it in normal lighting.

Fantastic! Would it be sacrilege to paint those carbon fibre panels in that lovely light green Aston had on the old V600? Well done Aston!

If its anything like the GT12 then the extra width and drag will make it slower than the standard car, let alone one in 595bhp trim.

Interesting, so the magnesium intake manifolds are manufactured by Ilmor (I think Daimler-Benz owns Ilmor).

I'll double check as still have the originals in them, but pretty sure it was.

"Every exterior panel is carbon fibre"

Does anyone know if the roof is structural carbon fibre OR just a wrap/covering?

What about the rear wings and roof rails?

I like the look of it. Nice work wtdoom...
