Crikey, between this and those Listers, PH really has thrown up that some of my favourite "perhaps some day..." cars are very rapidly accelerating out of any sort of reach! I'm genuinely scared to look at how much TVR Tuscans are at the moment...

Help!

I am becoming addicted to dark green 90's cars. Simply stunning.

the LM400 looked amazing and there was a Top gear episode with Tiff driving one. Also I recal one in a gulf livery was on one of the first gumball rallys broke down oner had to leave it in a barn.

Finally Gran Tourismo 2 had this car and a car called the LM600 (not sure it was real but assume it was) was my fave car in the game an always wished I could afford a real one. There is a gap in the market I think for an esprit type car. Cayman Alpine etc are just not as cool looking as this sort of 90s shaped wedge.
The LM600 was very real. Ran at Le Mans with F40's, McF1's and XJ220's.

The one from GT2 is this one:

Bloody quick on GT2 and in real life it was up there at the top of the class with the quickest F1's and F40's.

As for the Atlantique, it's always been one of my absolute favourite cars. The very best of 90's sports/supercar unobtanium. It's great to hear that they're good to drive and well thought of. Beautiful thing it is.

A very rare opportunity, as these come up at a rate of noticeably less than 1 per year.

12 RHD Atlantiques were imported to the UK (by Nicholas Mee of Aston selling fame). 9 were the single turbo version (like this green car) and 3 were the later twin-turbo version. Of these, 4 single turbo and 2 twin-turbos survive (the rest having been taken/sold overseas).

Here in Dorset I have the dark blue twin-turbo and have taken it to Nantes to the original Venturi test track, which was fun. But the factory itself no longer exists. The other twin-turbo car (in light blue) lives in Suffolk. The single turbo cars are in Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Somerset.

This weekend there should be two at La Vie en Blue event at Prescott Hill Climb.

Anyway, they are fantastic and beautiful cars that are still surprisingly affordable for something as fun to drive and as rare as hens teeth.

When it sells I'll look forward to meeting with the newest member of the UK Venturi Owners Club!

How much more powerful are the twin turbo versions?

The single turbo cars have 281 bhp, and the twin-turbo have 310 bhp. The twin-turbo set-up gives a more linear power delivery, while the earlier single turbo cars have slightly more noticeable initial lag. Both are good fun and decently fast.

I see that another one has popped up for sale - the grey car from Glos. At a cracking price as well. The last time 2 RHD Atlantiques were for sale at the same time was about 1996 (probably).

I saw one of these on a flatbed in Rayleigh High Street in Essex the other day. I can't actually remember what colour it was. Lovely little thing.
