Assuming you have something fancy?

Case in point, this young lad bought his E46 M3 in Ruby Red for £21k and decided to let a vlogger review it.

skip to 6:55 for the test drive ... I think he may have regretted it, poor lad looks like he $hat himself:

Short answer, no.

But they all know what they're getting themselves in for, LLF has 100's of videos with a similar if not more extreme driving style, it's why his channel has grown in popularity in the last year or so...

Another bloody thread on vloggers.

I would rather st in my hands and clap then have anything to do with any of them.

Genuinely, some people have nothing going on in their lives to watch that crap.

Why do I need somebody to review my car? Can't I form my own opinon about it?

I've seen a few of his vids and to be fair I do end up watching them to the end - good editing... that E46 M3 vid above is just hilarious (owners reaction).

A topic that seems to come around just like the supermarket fuels debate these days.

Nobody is forcing anyone to either allow their cars to be driven, or watch the material.

There's lots of it out there. Some is good, some is bad. Not all will be to everyone's tastes.

If you loaned a car to a magazine, you might not see it for a few days, and you'd have no idea how it was driven.

I think the most honest reviews of cars you will ever see are individuals reviewing cars owned by other individuals. No corporate interests to keep happy.

Totally depends on who it is and if they have the right insurance. Driving my car third party on their policy is simply taking the piss. They're unlikely to be covered properly due to the nature of driving the car for their "business", and at last check many insurance companies do not allow you to drive other people's cars in connection with business use, only your own.

I suspect most insurance companies would tell you to jog on if you told them that you review people's cars for YouTube on your standard policy.

I know some, such as James above give a gentlemans agreement should the worst happen, but I'd want my car to be covered against crashing etc, and mechanical failure.

To be fair it's not easy to find biting point straight away. He's hardly going to be the driving equivalent of an S class when he's just got in the car

The attitude of "don't be gentle, it's a rental" lives on.

They're both morons.
The sweaty pondlife vlogger hammering it down bumpy country roads in the wet into blind bends, and the pipsqueak owner of the car who would rather wet his panties than call the vlogger out for driving like a fking idiot and telling him to pull over and walk home to his council flat.

Never ever let that idiot drive my car, doesn't matter what it is.
He's going to get himself and his passenger killed driving like that.

This seems to be the new st equivalent of getting a mag feature on your car without doing any of the hard work that goes into building a show car worth my of a mag feature.

Why would anyone?

Chancers in my opinion. Go and grab a car from a dealer if you want to review it FFS.
