The Porsche looks like it's been over? Or very close given the marks on the passenger side roof. Unless the Ferrari mounted it.

Nah, not really.

Two raging bell-ends in rented/blagged/borrowed cars that are far faster than their talent allows, simply not giving a toss about any other road users. Situation normal.

The Ferrari plate may not be registered to that car apparently? Plenty of cctv on that roundabout they'll be able to identify the driver. It's interesting how that plate appears on a Ferrari unless cloned?

Probably just takes the attitude that it's his plate, so he'll slap it on whichever of his cars he happens to be using. And that "using" may well include "lending".

Or he's terminally stupid. Or he was pissed. But I repeat myself...

It's a 718 GTS, which is a 2.5 Boxer-4 Turbo. Good ol' journalism as usual.

Either way, a 365PS Cayman ain't going to keep up with a 570PS Ferrari.
Would be interesting to see the power to weight ratios
458 Spider: 398 PS/tonne
Cayman GTS: 252 PS/tonne

A slight difference smile

But as said above...no difference if both driven by muppets.

I reckon that Cayman will be able to keep up with the Ferrari. Most recovery trucks go at about the same speed.... smile

I'm sure both of these came past me on the M1 early Saturday morning.

They weren't hanging around either. Would have been around Jct 29a, about 11am ish.

Followed in close formation by an A4 Avant - potentially an S

And this is why we don't let anyone drive our cars on their wedding day! We use these as an example of what happens when the inexperienced driver gets behind the wheel of a high powered (458 case) car.

These kinds of incident just contribute to a popular belief that all Ferrari /Porsche etc drivers are privileged clowns and irresponsible posers.

Most of my friends in the Porsche community are normal responsible drivers and wince every time this sort of thing happens. Maybe apart from legal proceedings these fools should be banned from ever buying a new one.
