I bet a certain car vlogger who recently interviewed Hartley Jnr won’t be raising the topic in the future hehe

"Two supercar drivers who collided at the Tinsley roundabout in 2018 have been handed suspended sentences at Sheffield Crown Court.

On Sunday 20 May 2018 at 7:55pm, officers were called to a road traffic collision on the Tinsley roundabout involving a grey Ferrari 458 and a red Porsche.

The driver of the Porsche, 27-year-old Henry James Hibbs from Middlefield, New Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Ferrai, 32-year-old Carl Hartley from Swadlincote, Derbyshire fled from the scene prior to the officer’s arrival."

"Hartley pleaded guilty at the start of the trail in November 2019. Yesterday, Wednesday 15 January, he was sentenced to nine-month in prison, suspended for 24 months and 200 hours unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to take an extended test before driving again and ordered to pay £1400 in costs."

Irrespective of anything else it does seem a long time from relatively minor incident to sentencing, doesn’t it?

Because he definitely, definitely wasn't drunk or high.

Or he thought about saying it had been stolen and he was not the driver.

Either way, should have more pain than suspended sentence, complete chancer to run away...

I would imagine a 2 year ban is going to be exceptionally painful for him.

Indeed. I can't imagine not driving and he has access to some of the most desirable cars ever made. What a prick.

Probably got some emotional discount on the fact his Mrs gave birth a week ago. Sticking him in jail for 9 months would have been a lot harder on him that banning him for 2 years!

Can you pay someone to do the unpaid work?

Should have stuck him in jail for years. What a lenient sentence.

He’ll still be getting paid by his old man anyway so it’s hardly ‘unpaid’ hehe

racing / speeding / crashing / running away / lying and only a suspended sentence ( being a freemason has its benefits !)
and a £1400 fine.

I hope this gets reviewed, they both should have 5 year jail sentences, and fined 40% of their assets.

What is that all up the front of the Porsche? - Looks like someone has thrown a curry at it!
