Msport transit custom crew van for running about, throwing the boys quad in, camping and dragging the caravan.

Yaris gr, just think they look great fun and been a Toyota it should just work without issue

And a Motorsport tools mk2 escort with a 2.0 duratec on bodies and a normal h pattern 5 speed box, something that could be used comfortably on the road but still go!

Not sure you understand what 'car' means. hehe

In fact, if we are playing that game then sod the cars, I'll have:

Pilatus PC-12NG
BAE Hawk T2
Mi-24P Hind (for the school run)

I missed ‘car’ in the title, the OP references vehicles. My choices are vehicles biggrin

1) I'd commission a Ferrari 360 Spider to be converted to Challenge Stradale spec.

2) Honda NSX Type R

3) Caterham R500

As the majority of brand new stuff these days is seemingly for the instagram/global warming concern crowd, full of fakery left, right and centre and lacks much of the connection that I would spend money for, it would probably be a 'measly' spending spree of the following, that only some manufacturers still produce to connect with the 'real drivers' wink

2020 991 C2S.
3L Turbo engine with RWD and the manual gearbox of course. Then I would spend money on an aftermarket exhaust to allow the car to sound like it should. This would be my daily driver wink A car that would happily rack up the miles and not complain, whilst offering all the playability that a RWD manual gives on everyday roads.

2021 Exige V6 Sport.
3.5L V6 engine with RWD and the manual gearbox of course. Then I would add a limited slip differential so that the thing doesn't spin away power coming out of the tight corners. This would be my track day car.

2021 AM Vantage. Twin-turbo 4L V8 engine, RWD with the manual gearbox of course. This would be my weekend and euro touring car to take over the Alpine passes. A car capable of carrying enough luggage for two week's road trip, at the same time having plenty of power and controllability directed through the rear wheels for any amount of long distance drive or short blast fun.

Struggling to think of other brand new cars that offer an engine with over 400bhp mated to a manual gearbox that delivers the power through the rear wheels. The Evora is an option but looks ugly IMO. The M2 and M4 are possibilities I guess, but would have to cancel the fakery that is the engine noise pumped in through the cabin speakers. AND as long I spent money on replacing the hideous front grille on the latest models. But if a money no object, then the 991 wins out hands down over an M4.

FF Range Rover

Ferrari 812 GTS

Porsche Cayman GT4

Tough choice. Not a lot of new stuff appeals.

Money no object;

Oak Green GT3 for daily duties;

Venom F5, for large accidents;

And last but not least, a 2021 Arocs 8x8 with an overland conversion for disappearing around the world for months at a time.

One of these in electric, with a decent range, would be great and get a lot of weekend and camping use:

For a runabout, a decent riding, but fully electric, supermini like a Fiesta:

I would try one of these:

If it didn't get much use, then I'd swap it for one of these:

The various modern uber-cars don't really appeal that much.

An E63S – but professionally toned-down to look “airport cabby” - 18” (if they fit) wheels, de-badge, grey callipers, etc. Schlepping duties covered.

Fiesta ST, with a bespoke, extra-plush interior and extra sound deadening. Because sometime you want a car that will fit into that space.

La Ferrari Aperta – To max-out your skank-score you need a proper, recognisable supercar that’s both supercar-looking but also not a ‘winglets-n-spitters’ mess. If it has a name that’s so silly & self-regarding that people will remember it, then that’s a bonus.

(I felt that I was missing something genuinely fun - but then remembered that working up the aforesaid "score" would probably be enough fun.)

New?

Daily or big family trips, Tesla Model X in the fastest spec

Road trip with kids, Ferrari Roma

Just me, for an early morning blat, Eagle Speedster.
If an eagle speedster counts as new car, i solve my problem with it.

Tesla performance model 3 for the daily and some track time(modifications allowed as i saw now, on own costs)

Alpina B5 Touring, for holidays, trips with grandkids etc

And the best looking at the end, eagle for the sunday morning meditation on a lonely hill road
or the trip in the alps...

I've come to the conclusion that smaller cars are more useful for driving about day-to-day, unless you really need the space of that bigger car. Good call on making a more civilised version of the ST. I selected a Non-ST above, but an ST that looks and rides like a Non-ST would be good.

Buying new is a tough one for me as I do like the 70s supercars. But here goes...

911 Turbo S for all-round greatness. I’d use it as a GT and hoon monster when conditions allow.

AMG E63 S estate for family duties and tip runs.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S as I’d like to own an EV at some point and this one sounds rather fun.

Well on that basis:

Daily / local work. Size matters and this would get me to the shops, pub, gentleman’s outfitter’s and other places that have compact parking space.

Long distance:

Playtime. Maybe not this Singer model but hey, any Singer will do. But this colour and wheels.
