Crikey. I didn't realize they were so rare. I'd have asumed maybe 600-800 sold over the 3 or 4 years so far. I suppose thats why you hardly ever see them. Shame really as they are lovely.
Yes - very rare. The community is a small world too. A nice community to be part of.

I understand what you are saying about the Carbon Editions. It is a love hate thing. I will put my hand up and admit that when I first saw pics of the Carbon edition, I didn't like it. Seeing one in the flesh - the carbon work (IMHO) is absolutely stunning.

When Lexus created the LFA, unlike many manufacturers, Lexus decided to weave their own carbon fibre. This isn't the approach taken by most manufacturers (including F1 teams). The carbon fibre on the RC-F carbon editions is the same as that found on the LFA.

For those interested Google "LFA Motomachi".

Interesting read with the usual comparisons being made to m cars. If people do want to go on journalist views I think that’s ok and actually the rc-f does well. It is usually VERY close to the m4 on track in the dry and seems to attain its times in a far more controlled manner. Also, how many of us would drive either as well as the journalists do? Most normal drivers would probably get a better time in the rcf due to it being less twitchy, easier to control the power etc

Also, as others have stated from an ownership proposition the rcf will be more reliable, better built and more exclusive which will appeal to many. I get the styling is divisive but interestingly people seem to be more and more coming to like it. I think in long term tests (as posted in this thread) the true overall usability of the rcf shines. Great gt car that can be tracked and hustled that is refined, unique, rare and has a v8. I owned an isf, I have been looking at my next car for a while and having looked at the conoetition my money will be going on a rcf car on car.
