Is that a V8?

Very stylish. Could use some LED lighting for extra magic.

E280 provisionally sold. Thanks for all interest.
Good news!
That's a very good deal for someone. I hope it's sticking around the parish and might crop up again in the future with better timing for me. I'd love to own that.
Difficult to say now, but if I hadn't just bought the Touring then it was ideal for me even at well over my self-imposed budget cap, especially the ICE.

Sensible price, no pics of the apparent bodywork required though. Still miss my blue one.

Almost every option except the blind spot monitoring, I'd take that over active cruise.

Sounds cheap though, never seen a V8 one running...

How do these compare to a Lexus of similar vintage?

Moon Mileage XJ! (sadly seems to be a diesel rather than the XJR in the title_

Definitely a diesel. Why the ad title, I wonder. What a prat.

Secondly, and I may need my flame suit on, but for a 2009 car, that interior looks incredibly aged! Looks like an E38 interior!

The leather is filthy... A few hours spent with some leather cleaner would improve that markedly.

Handsome looking car for the cash, shame about the diesel.

I don't mean that it's dirty (which it is), but at the design/switchgear etc looks like it's from a generation earlier than a 2009 car IMO. Appreciate this would be a late model, but even so!

After my boxster threw a bit of a tantrum on the North Circular the other day I found myself looking for a new car and was happy to see W221 S-classes are coming into thread budget, surely the ideal Boxster replacement.

Last time I looked the main choices at budget were diesels but 500s are tantalisingly close. Not aware of any major horror stories with these.

Jaguar are frustrating. What you gain in style and ambiance you lose in detail and polish.

But then, they were half a class cheaper when new, so it would be a bit unfair to expect S-Class levels of finish.

Yes, very true and agreed. The CL interior is miles ahead of any Jag of the same year but doesn't have the style of an XK/XJ. Mind you I thought the XJS was pretty good.

I have never understood why Jag didn't invest in decent switchgear. It can't have been that much more expensive, could it?

I haven't been in a recent Jag to know if they've improved.

Swapping between my dad's XJ and the e65 you'd never believe they were of the same generation.

That being said, the XJ done in the right colurs (ivory leather, dark dash etc.) has a style the BMW just can't match.

Mine has been good so far, touch wood. It does have the pants 3.0 diesel though, so I'm awaiting traumas with that.

Otherwise, it's a great big comfy boat and I like it.

Whilst it's not an XJ, but my dad has an F Type R and the interior isn't as nice as the M6 it replaced by a long way. Touchscreen interface is pretty pants, too IMO.

Sounds good, mind.

Same story with Dad's 2012 XK-R... Wonderful car, well made, pants touchscreen unit.
