That R129 is lovely, not normaly a fan of Black on Black, but this works well.
A proper advert is great to see, 35mpg seems a bit unlikely?
Agreed. If it is as pristine as it looks in pictures I would go as far as saying it's sublime. These must be due to appreciate soon, they're a bit of a bargain ATM. I bet that auction shall close in to five figures, but lovely stuff! A proper advert is great to see, 35mpg seems a bit unlikely?
RE the Lexus roadster (I forget the model number!) weren't they widely slated for a ride which would knock your fillings out, at odds with the type of car it should be (a GT wafter)

Lexus SC - I'm really tempted by them. I have thread form with these and acknowledge the Floridian-housewife vibe, but I'm gonna buy one.
Worst advert ever. Granada Scorpio cosworth, £2800.
If not rotten and leaky that seems like a 2010 price.

ETA: shall, shall, shall, shall, shall. O hi CdG!

It's got no mirrors and is missing at least one door card. I'm going to guess that it's not a good'un.If not rotten and leaky that seems like a 2010 price.

Indeed, mot out in Aug but history’s fairly clean. Be interested to see when the advert is fleshed out.I tried to buy an estate from Jersey about 3 years ago at 4K, which is a very strange thing to admit! Seller went quiet...
Ok, here’s one with mirrors and mot, also at 2.8.
Obvs I must’ve been nuts to try and pay more...

Looks great. But I don't think there is a hardtop.
Hardtops are quite easy to get in the second-hard parts market these days, and black is an easy colour to match.I'm not convinced by this though
"it can easily do over 25Mpg in town and over 35Mpg on motorways"
Even being the more economical 3-valve per cylinder motor and the super-tall fifth gear... no, not really

They're grim. And not in a good way.
So judgemental. Especially from a chap with form.Of course I've never driven one so my opinion doesn't count for anything.

But on to more serious matters. The Lexus NO. The four door ones if you must have a luxury car with Corolla electric window switches but the SC no. Just no.
In case that wasn't clear I am not a fan.

Miles of thread now (for a few months at least) but I followed an LC500 through town earlier this week. Goodness me it's a terrific thing.
Pencil me in for one in 2028. Gassed.
I adore them too. I've not yet seen one in the wild, I popped in to Lexus Sheffield to have an up close look a few months ago. They 've nailed it IMO, and I suspect in 10 years you'll be able to get one for £15-20k? It shall be worth every penny. Pencil me in for one in 2028. Gassed.

Respect for not using 'Best Colour Combo!!!' in the ad (although it is, IMO).
