You can. The car's got a 'car park' wrap. It's a big thing in pharmaceutical sales circles, so they can hide from the feds.
I think we all need to keep a sense of perspective here.

Me used to be somewhat imperial, but now I so metric.

That would make a really fun everyday runabout, decent performance, fuel efficient, compact and well built. Instead of a Diesel, perhaps an A45 or A35 turbo motor and DCT box? Like the sound of that.

Got the S Class back. £380 for the strut, and £175 for fitting, including a bit of unsuccessful fault finding on the stupid parking sensors and the stupid keyless entry drivers door handle.

Christmas is going to Bob Cratchett style this year.

I'm not entirely convinced that this is strictly a barge, but it's in budget, brimming with leather, brisk and you're extremely unlikely to ever park next to another one...

My old one. 4k, and still has the correct alloys.

Lots of people want to ask you about it. Which was weird. Wallowy. No idea what happened to the fuel. It went it. Not much noise or ooomph. It left the tank. Service parts fine. Anything else a pita, as you'd expect. Still not sure if it's a classic, prices don't reflect it. Don't think the Subaru badge helps.

Probably the best part of five years before eligibility for this thread but I’m very pleased to see a beautiful and tasteful interior from the good people of Milan in this Alfa. Stunning and the complete opposite of just about everything else on the road these days.

That is lovely, but for me the current Volvo x90 series in light colours with wood are the standard for tasteful interiors. Sadly 80% of them are in black with wky silver trim.

Love the Alfa. And the S90.

I always think it’s weird that we buy car interiors that are essentially totally opposite to what we do to our houses.

Our house is pale, organic shades, and full of unpolished wood, which is how I generally prefer car interiors.

It's still a lovely place to sit FYI but yes, given the choice with all else being equal the 'blond' interior would be a no brainer.

I'm not sure how everyone else finds general opinions on this but I do find the majority of folk seem to hate light interiors like this.

They're all wrong of course.

Yes, the ‘new’ Volvo V70 and S80 of approx 2008 onwards came with the possibility of similar interiors to the Alfa Romeo above. Very nice they were too.

I think it’s always been possible to create something similar with an E Class but very rarely seen in the U.K.

Love the SVX, though it's a shame they are all autos. Looked at one once, but I seem to recall finding the driving position quite odd. I got a Bitter SC instead as the SVX was too sensible.

They are indeed. I can't stand oppressive coal-black interiors, especially with the high waistlines, minimal glasshouse, and privacy tints of modern designs.

This is a proper interior

This xc90 is for sale about 10 miles away from me. I'm tempted, but at 207000 miles, I dont know.

There are limits. That is horrible.

Double-beige/brown is akin to double denim.

"How about an SVX?"

"Bit common"

Those run out E38 interiors were lovely. Green or blue carpets and dash top roll with parchment (what is the correct name? I forget) upholstery and contrasting piping.

For me, however, it has to be light brown or Palomino as it was rather more evocatively named in America. What was nice is how everything used to be in the matching colour, carpets, lower dash, entire door cars, pillars &c. Nowadays, only the seat inserts are colourful.

When I collected the 190 from MTSV, Mark had an early 126 with that interior. It was stunning.
