This looks alright. Slightly sporting manual barge. Year’s MOT too.

Not that anyone will care because it's not an XJ which is lighter [and hard, well OK impossible to find at this dough] but have an S Type R for £3250 resplendent in red

I like that. Young enough for the better interior. Old enough to miss the pants final exterior.

Beat the E39 M5 in at least one contemporary group test...

Have we had this? Almandine Black/Black really suits it. £2850.

One of those 528i that delivers more than the quoted power.

Shame about the V8 badges, but at least it's not disfigured by a leaper. It's a trader selling on behalf of a friend.

Ah, selling for a friend. Didn’t realise, but have never believed that as assume it’s an attempt to circumvent trade obligations.

Am I wrong to be so sceptical?

Aussie import? Nice. More photos and details required.

Reminds me of my old one. The early cars are the best.

It’s a 528 SE with the nice little wheels and ambers. 136k miles. It drives really nicely (more impressions to follow).

It had a long list of works done last year, tyres, and brakes for the MOT.

The car really does seem as nice as in the ad (where these pictures are from).

That looks very nice indeed, great find Oa.

May the barge Gods be with you.... For they've abandoned me and my e91 after a week!

I bought my E430 from that guy. He’s remarkably ok, isn’t he? I don’t quite know how he gets such tidy cars for so little dosh. Anyway, a great choice, Oa, really one of the best cars ever.

That guy being someone we should all know about if tidy cars may be available..?

Looks very smart 0a, nice to see no messing with one.

He was great, plenty of barges on the drive (jags and old mercs), picked me up from the station, and the car drives really well.

It shows how wallowy the LS400 is (the E39 is probably a little noisier at speed). I love the straight 6 noise.

I paid £1,395 in the end which isn’t too much really.

Congratulations 0a. Looks as a good buy

That's you and W00DY to add to Prinny's 2018 list (I'm sure the thread will allow W00DY's under minimum purchase)
